Its insane. CGC can absolutely prevent this from happening. Yet they choose not to. I think we are back to the Fight Club analogy.

Are these recently graded?

I've already been massively disappointed in the grades. The only thing left is for some QC issues to make my head explode.

Got my books back today. I'm too scared to open it up.

Some random pickups from my LCS

There is zero chance blackstone would allow them to stop taking submissions.

Even more ludicrous is they won't talk to you about the turn around times when you submitted. Only what they are currently. When I submitted TAT was 140 days. Then 8 months later it was well over 200 and that is what they use to see if it is late.

So economy pressing is currently 217 working days and economy grading is currently 249 days. Even worse than I thought as magazines are slower than regular comics. So 466 working days. lol. You can pay more to have them done faster. Some quick googling tells me that 466 working days from today translates to November 3rd 2023 if the clock started today. That doesn't even count holidays, just weekends.

Definitely separate. Someone posted the other day if you send in on the slowest tier of each it is well over a year combined at this point.

There is a separate trading card marketplace. That might get more looks.

I have been really lucky with the three I found. Low grade, but decent presenting covers at a fairly reasonable price. I seem to have hit a wall though.

Try finding them in really low grade. Those seem really hard to find as well.

I also didn't have any of them pressed. I didn't want this to take an extra 6 months.

I usually don't. But since these were at CGC for so long they dropped off of the "my submissions" page. So you have to look them up by submission # to see what status they are. And that page shows the grade right when you go into the screen. I couldn't help but to see them. Honestly I'm glad I did. The disappointment would have been way worse pulling them out one by one.

I'm most disappointed with the BC 3's. I was expecting 9.0+ on one of them and 8.0+ on the other. I should have them in hand soon and see if it looks like there was any damage I wasn't expecting.
