  1. CGC won't do anything. They simply don't care. Things are pretty darn good for them right now.
  2. Every book goes through quality control. Just wanted to remind everyone.
  3. I'm missing a few of the early non Frazetta covers. I guess I really should get them now.
  4. I don't think I had ever seen the add that Frazetta did the Ringo Star mad magazine parody for.
  5. I see what you did there… I just like this GIF
  6. CGC does not care. At all. That seems pretty clear.
  7. Imagine learning that CGC chose to grade invisible comics before yours that have been waiting months and months for.
  8. Exactly! Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Just imagine how much a 10 would be worth!!! Fortune favors the bold! What if it came back an 11?
  9. Now imagine you want to submit some magazines. With pressing you can make 2 humans in that time.
  10. I've been collecting The Creeps/Shudder/Vampiress since they came out. I think they did a great job with these. Will they ever appreciate in value like original Warren magazines? I doubt it. I guess it really depends on why you are buying them. If you just want to enjoy the art and stories they are very nice. If you looking at the investment side of things I wouldn't bank on it. But yeah, you can pick up the whole run for way cheaper than you can even find the lowest grade original Vampirella 1.
  11. They did two reprints. Harris did one in 2001 that had a cover price of $4.95 (that had a few different variants - different color logos) and then Dynamite in 2019 with a cover price of $6.99. And just because someone has a listing at a certain price does not mean it is worth that. You are better off looking at sold listings. Warren went bankrupt in 1983 and Harris bought their assets. And then in 2010 Dynamite acquired the rights to Vampirella.
  12. Just check ebay for sold items. As an example a CGC 4.0 just sold for $971. CGC 6.0 going for over a $1,000. Prices are crazy.
  13. Not that I'm in the business of buying large collections like this, but I would think just calculating average cost per book is kind of pointless. At the very least I'm going to come up with a value for #1 and then come up with what the average is for the rest. But there are probably a few other issues you want to do something similar, but of course they will have less of an impact. Let's say #1 is worth $750. That would make the average cost of the rest of the books average under $7 at your price of $1500. That is probably way too low.
  14. Totally agree. To be honest the thought of buying an entire run of anything on ebay is not appealing to me. I think a lot of us are more of a "thrill of the hunt" types. Shows, shops, boards, etc. Not that I don't buy anything off of ebay, but I would probably never do something like this unless it was dirt cheap, which as you point out this is not.
  15. You may be a big jerk, but it won't be because of that message.
  16. Entire Vampy run. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vampirella-Warren-1969-Lot-Complete-Magazine-Set-w-s-1-113-Mostly-FN-to-VF-/154872532705?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276
