  1. Books shipped today. And in my worst case scenario I wasn't expecting grades this low. So I have that going for me.
  2. I couldn't possibly be more disappointed with the grades. It my worst case scenarios they weren't this bad.
  3. Frank Frazetta working on his "The Encounter: spaceship and fairy-creature" in his home studio in 1988. Accomplished in pencil, pen and ink and watercolor on 7 x 8.5 in. artists' leaf, this study was for the cover art for the anthology ’L Ron Hubbard presents Writers of the Future Vol 5’, published April 1989 by Bridge Publications.
  4. Can we nominate an entire seller's inventory? How the heck does this guy stay in business? https://www.ebay.com/sch/aaproductionsllc/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=
  5. I think its weird if you don't have multiple copies of books.
  6. That is Dave C. When I was there he was a very good, solid grader, one of the best. To my knowledge he still works there. @lionsden can confirm. I think you meant to do this @The Lions Den
  7. They have always seemed to go for more money and seem way more scarce.
  8. $10,500 with the juice. Basically double current GPA for the signature. While I love all the FF FF covers it won’t be me. $19,800 with the juice.
  9. I was just coming on to post this. I asked people what they thought the auction would end at in some thread.
  10. Back cover stuck? What the hell is that? Is that them saying their slabs are ruining books?
  11. Cool story about that poster. “In 77, this guy calls me, and tells my kid on the phone that it’s Clint Eastwood. I said, “Yeah, Clint Eastwood. Big joke.” So my kid hung up on him. He calls back, and sure enough it was Clint Eastwood. I apologized and he laughed. He told me about the movie he was working on.. saw my work and wanted to come visit me.” A week after their phone call, Eastwood and co-star Sondra Locke flew out to the Frazetta estate to meet Frazetta. “They came in a limousine,” Frazetta recalled. We talked about The Gauntlet and my wife made them peppers and eggs. Clint had some specific ideas about what he should look like on the poster, and made comparisons with a particular painting.”
  12. And we have some movement. Went to Grading/QC today. Magazine economy received 5/12.
  13. Vampirella 66, page 4 of the story Picture Complete.
  14. When QC fails to do the bare minimum it is basically CGC saying screw you guys, we don't care.
  15. Shocking when every slab goes through a rigorous quality control check. Also, you should post that in this thread:
  16. Its just seems insane to me that they continue to have some submissions hit the lottery when older submissions just sit. I wonder if they even have the ability to figure out where the older submissions actually are and they have no way of even figuring it out.
  17. I know this isn't the "worst". But come on. This is max $200 in a CGC holder. https://www.ebay.com/itm/185250581394?hash=item2b21cb8b92:g:YQEAAOSwC0Fh009X
