There are so many modern titles I'm not sure you can pin it down. But like a lot of people, I buy them for the covers mostly.

Sure. And who knows maybe it will sell for that much. But I think there are plenty of completed sales that we don't have to speculate on items like this.

Thanks. I didn't even know that was in there. I had no idea what I was buying to be honest. Only saw the portfolio cover and figured it must be pretty cool and the price was right.

Picked up this nice Alien Print Portfolio. Even came with a cool mini comic.

Personally I would think fulfilling what the agreed upon deal was would be the first option. The problem I have is defaulting to sending the books back and pretending this didn't happen is pretty bad precedent. What if I sell a book, realize I can sell it for a higher price, tell the buyer sorry I sold it so let me just send you your money back.

But I think there is a way. Send a similar book. Its up to Top City to acquire that book and send it. If he doesn't that is on him.

I believe it was stated at some point that a value for each of the books was established as part of the negotiations for the trade. So refund the value you agreed to. What's the problem?

I'm trying to wrap my head around this. Are you saying that when you packed up and shipped the one book you forgot that the deal was for two books? Or you forgot to tell the buyer one of them was already sold?

Here is the problem. He didn't come on here and admit fault and make things better. He comes up with a laundry list of excuses. So yeah, his past means nothing at this point.

So on the second deal with the sold book. He just shipped the one with zero communication before that? Who does that? Was he just hoping you would forget about the second book?

Top City might as well say he has no return policy. The money you pay for books is spent before you send it.

I'm judging. At least for the refund part of this. Fool me once.......

Now think about the current situation with the checks going back and forth. Its very possible this entire situation never happens if they sent the money electronically. And honestly at this point to not take the refund electronically is like kicking yourself in the nuts. Why on earth the buyer would want to prolong this transaction and not immediately get the refund is mind boggling. Plus the refund isn't even a sale. I assume could do F&F.

For the love of comics can we stop with the checks. I honestly don't get it at this point.
