  3. Conan by Robert E. Howard. Lancer Books 74-958 Volume 5 of the Complete Conan. Later Print with the black cover, which actually looks better to me than the white cover version. 1968 $22 SOLD to goldust40 Classic Frazetta cover. Fine Plus Plus. Glossy and tight. Other than a light reader crease, this copy is Very Fine with great pages and no toning inside the covers. A very bright Lancer.
  4. Run For Your Life! by Sterling Noel Avon T-270 1958 $25 SOLD to mstrange Another pretty Maguire cover, this one for Avon. Great color and graphic design. Rarely seen this one this nice. Fine Plus Plus - Square, super bright and glossy copy. Has an unread feel, no reader crease and only some very light edgewear and tiny nicks and bends. Great page quality too.
  5. Dormitory Women by R. V. Cassill Signet #1646 First Printing March 1959 $30 SOLD @30% off to mstrange Classic Robert Maguire bad girls cover. The Maguire Signet books with dark, blank cover backgrounds are tough to find without a lot of creases. This is a pretty nice one. Fine/Fine Plus - Square, glossy copy with light surface wear and bends. Some spine edge wear but doesn't have the usual deep reader crease found on these. Excellent page quality too. A nice copy.
  6. Ok, So I'll cut the cord right there tonight - I'm being summoned, likely for something that resembles a task Thanks as always for the takes and banter . Youse guys are the best. I think I have enough of a pile of odds, ends and cool detritus to do a listing after work tomorrow, then will wrap this puppy up. The Bin is only slightly deflated though, so don't sweat, there will be more sales
  7. White Slave Racket by Roland Vane. Leisure Library No. 8. 1st print, 1st edition. 1952. $75 SOLD to Comical Situations Classic violent Reg Heade cover art. Wow! When I first saw this cover in the Hancer paperback price guide back in the 1980's, I knew I had to have it. I didn't know who Reginald Heade was since he mostly did British paperbacks and these were for U.S. distribution so a revelation to me along with the Archer Books series. Another warehouse copy that is square and super fresh looking. Spine is slightly warped from glue shrinkage, has a few color skips on the cover and the back cover has some color run on the upper back cover, but super glossy and looks like a new book.
  8. Two more for tonight, a couple of super classic Reg Heade GGA Digests. Pickup Girl by Roland Vane. Leisure Library No. 3. 1st print, 1st edition. 1952. $50 SOLD to Comical Situations Top of the line GGA cover by the inimitable Reginald Heade. A warehouse copy that is square and super fresh looking with the usual storage wear these have. These have gotten locked up in long term collections since their discovery 40 years ago. Unread copy with only some foxing on the back and edgewear - it is killer over all.
  9. Conan The Adventurer by Robert E. Howard. Contains "The People Of The Black Circle", "The Slithering Shadow", "The Pool of the Black One" and the first publication of "Drums of Tombalku". 1st Print with "A Lancer Book 1966" on copyright page. Fine Plus/Very Fine Minus. Glossy and tight. Slight bindery nicks to the top edge, light edgewear, tiny color loss to bottom corner. Much lighter than usual toning to the covers and pages (bright copies of Lancers are quite scarce and at a premium, this I'd call medium bright). 2
  10. Superman Signet D2966 1st Printing May 1966 A killer copy. I'll gladly keep this one. $50 SOLD to goldust40 The Superman Signet one shot. Lightning striking Superman cover.repr It's as tough as the Batman Signets to find unread and the white cover is an extra challenge. Very Fine. Unread, spine is square and perfect. Whites are bright with very light soiling. A touch of edgewear. Pages are creamy off white, inside covers are lightly toned, about the only mention-able detraction at all. The second best copy I've encountered ( the best is in the bowels of the Scrooge McDuck-like Treasure Bin ) It'll be tough to upgrade this one.
  11. Batman vs. The Penguin Signet D2970 Book No. 4 in the 1966 Series 1st Printing May 1966 $30 SOLD to goldust40 Classic Penguin cover - In my experience, this one is tougher to find nice than the Joker cover. Fine. Spine is square and unbroken. Colors are bright. Has light reader crease, finger bends, some tiny color chipping to bottom cover. Light surface and edgewear. A nice looking copy.
  12. Batman - The Best of the Original Batman Signet D2939 Book No. 1 in the 1966 Series 1st Printing March 1966 $35 SOLD to Comical Situations Reprints the first origin story among others. Pages are off white, inside covers are toned. A great looking copy of a 55+ year old Silver Age Batman.

Scarce in any condition and rare like this. Fine Plus. A nice, square copy, smooth covers have bends but no creases. Great lamination has slight edge lifting. A beautiful vintage paperback.
  14. The Mucker by Edgar Rice Burroughs Ace 54460 June 1974 $35 SOLD to goldust40 First Frazetta cover edition. Samurai cover with great details. Similar to the Shadow, although granted, it's not a black cover. In the 9.+ range An incredible copy with blazing colors and gloss, super sharp and square with virtually no wear. Small bindery tear at bottom corner is about all there is to mention. White pages.
  15. The Shadow, The Living Shadow, by Maxwell Grant, 2nd Printing of the Volume 1 No. 1 for the Pyramid Series. May 1975. Cover art by Jim Steranko A ridiculous copy of one of his most famous images. $40 SOLD to goldust40 I can't say enough about the finicky collector I bought some super high grade Art covers from recently. The very tough black cover 1st paperback in immaculate condition. Near Mint 9.8. Just ridiculous. Killer spine. Gorgeous glossy copy with no bends or creases, virtually no edgewear. WHITE pages, no writing inside. You rarely see 50 year old books like this.
  16. It's 5:35 pm here on the east coast so I promised the fetching Mrs. Wilson I would grill her a steak for Labor Day, she's a teacher so one of the hardest working people that I know, I gotta honor her ethic I'll be back with another stack in an hour or so
  17. A Woman of Samaria by James Wesley Ingles Popular Library 299 1950 $20 SOLD to goldust40 Famous nipple cover by Rudolph Belarski Fine minus, would be much higher but has a spine tear with associated wrinkling. Still a great looker. Blazing colors. Solid square binding. The book appears lightly read with a trace of a reader crease along spine. Nice page quality.
  18. A Matter of Morals by Joseph Gies Popular Library 421 May 1952 $12 SOLD to Comical Situations This one there's no doubt, campy GGA cover art is signed by Harry Barton Fine/Fine plus. Solid, square and glossy. Spine is clean and appears unread, no reader crease. Has a light corner crease otherwise very bright and clean.
  19. Divorce by James Warner Bellah Popular Library 404 February 1952 $12 SOLD to mstrange That moment. Nice GGA cover art is uncredited but looks a lot like Harry Barton Fine Plus. 21. Hell's Angels by Hank Janson. Gold Star IL7-16 1964 $45 SOLD to goldust40 An iconic Robert Maguire cover. Full length blonde Good Girl in yellow prison stripes with a classic blurb. Of all his covers, this is the one Maguire's daughter used as the colophon for her website tribute to him. Very Fine minus - Square, tight, unread feeling copy, only has some tiny color flecking, slight edgewear/blunting and toning to the interior covers. A beautiful copy of a top cover.
  22. The Expectant Nymph by Hank Janson. Gold Star IL7-32 1964 $25 SOLD to goldust40 One of 3? I believe Robert Maguire full length GGA covers for the Janson 60's series with Gold Star. A great composition. Fine - Square, glossy copy with light reader creasing and spine wear, some surface and edge wear.
  23. *Redhead Alert* Stag Stripper by Mike Avallone. Midwood No. F132 $40 SOLD to Comical Situations Gorgeous and rare Robert Maguire sleaze GGA cover. Smaller print runs at the sleaze publishers make the competition for these fierce and Midwoods are some of the toughest. Fine/Fine Plus - Square, glossy copy with light surface wear and bends. Has a ding to right lower corner that created a crease that doesn't break color. Minor moisture stain to back lower corner. A nice presenting copy.
