  1. The Girl Who Cried Wolf by Hillary Waugh Dell D338 1st Print January 1960 $25 SOLD to mstrange One of Robert McGinnis' most famous early bondage/headlights GGA covers. Hard to believe he's still painting today at 97. A 65+ year career! Fine Plus/Very Fine Minus. Square and tight. Glossy with deep colors. Has a light reader crease front and back but corners are square with smooth covers, no creasing. A sharp and great looking copy.
  2. The Sherlock Holmes Pocket Book by A. Conan Doyle Pocket Books 95 Scarce 1st Print February 1941 $25 SOLD to Norrin's Lawyer If you know Pocket's, you know. Very hard to find 1st Prints of the early editions. One of the most collected early titles for obvious reasons. Not very high grade but a nicely presenting copy of a book that is extremely difficult to find any better than this due to multiple issues, age (82!), papery lamination,, hard cardboard covers etc. etc. Very Good. Solid and square, everything tight, retains plenty of gloss. The thin lamination is mostly present but has the usual lifts, losses and tears. Soiling on the back cover. Bright white pages. The lack of hard creases makes this remain nice looking from the front.
  3. The Black Flame by Stanley G. Weinbaum Harlequin Books 205 January 1953 $45 SOLD to N e r V Rare 1st paperback edition of Weinbaum's classic superwoman novel from the Canadian publisher whose first 500 books were mainstream before switching to the romances they became famous for. They are extremely tough to find in any kind of nice shape. One of my favorite early 1930's Sci-Fi stories. Weinbaum changed Science Fiction quite a bit before the next pioneer, Heinlein. Classic cover with stars in the pile of Black Margot's hair. Incredible condition for a Harlequin. Fine Minus/Fine. Has the typical Harlequin long reader crease but otherwise this is a glossy square copy without the cover color rubbing that ruins the vast majority of early Harlequins to my taste. Otherwise this is Fine Plus with rubbing to the spine edges.
  4. New Tales Of Space and Time edited by Raymond J. Healey Pocket Books 908 1st Print October 1952 $20 SOLD to N e r V Seminal early science fiction collection including Bradbury and Asimov with a gorgeous Charles Frank cover. Hard to believe this is 70 years old. Another killer copy of a late number Pocket Book. From the High Grade collection. Very Fine Minus. Another super sharp and glossy with amazing colors. Square and pages tight, nice page quality. A couple spots of wear. If you want an amazing copy, this is it.
  5. Going to a couple more nice high grade science fiction titles for a minute... The Beast That Shouted Love at the Heart Of The World by Harlan Ellison Avon V2300 1st Printing July 1969 $40 SOLD to N e r V Cover art by Leo and Diane Dillon. A very tough Ellison 1st PB to get in this high a grade. Very Fine Minus/Very Fine. Bright whites are a standout, super square, fresh, with white pages. Covers have a few finger bends and a pressure mark on the back cover, light surface wear but this is a new looking book.
  6. Think it was @N e r V by a nose on that one but I wouldn't advise anyone to underestimate your finger speed
  7. Cop by Jack Karney Pocket Books 898 1st Print September 1952 $20 SOLD to goldust40 Classy Nylons Good Girl in the mirror cover art by gritty realist Stanley Zuckerberg. A killer copy of a late number Pocket Book. Very Fine Minus. Super sharp and glossy with amazing colors for a 70 year old pb. Spine is square as a block, pages tight, nice page quality. A touch of wear along front spine edge and back cover and one or two surface marks on back. An amazing vintage paperback.
  8. The Shadow Hands in the Dark by Maxwell Grant Pyramid P3557 January 1975 $40 SOLD to mstrange A pretty sick copy of #4 in the Steranko cover series. Very Fine almost VF/NM. 10. The Murder of Ann Avery by Henry Kuttner Perma Books 3058 1st Print September 1956 $15 SOLD to goldust40 One of Kuttner's famous series of mystery novels with a classy headlights cover by James Meese. Very Fine Minus. Glossy and new looking covers. Spine has slight slant, minimal wear to the covers, mostly surface wear. Everything tight and unread looking with only some tiny finger bends.
  11. Blaze by Scott Stone Berkley Books G227 1959 $35 SOLD to goldust40 Amazing Raymond Johnson Party Girls cover art. One of my favorite Johnson Tail-lights covers. Berkley's are tough in general but super tough in this condition Very Fine minus. Spine is tight and square, bold colors with tons of gloss. Razor sharp corners. Couple of color flecks off spine edge. Off white pages. A superior copy.
  12. Dormitory Women by R. V. Cassill Lion Books No. 216 July 1954 $20 Another scarce Lion Books PBO. A notorious title with a classic GGA cover that remains uncredited. Very Good/Very Good plus. Looks better but has a split at the top back spine, not visible from the front. Spine is still tight and solid. Pages slightly uneven. Otherwise looks nice with no hard creases and wear is mostly around the edges.
  13. Diary of a Geisha Girl by Kimiko Omura as told to William Vaneer Avon T-313 1959 $25 SOLD to mstrange A very scarce Avon classic cover GGA book.
