  1. A steal imho. I already have one or would have been a bidder. He's all over the place on grading and limited pics so there's wariness but lot's of cool stuff. I did win a couple
  2. Probably George Geygan's greatest cover. My copy that I've posted here before is not super high grade but was one of the few books I kept when I sold my 1st collection to John Warren in the 90's. It''s a wraparound so you gotta show 3 views
  3. They sure do A couple more from my Maguire pile for those into such stuff
  4. I've not (yet ) gone down the rabbit hole of the Janson's but have made a fair dent in the Leisure Library and Archer series. Here's a few now that I've unboxed them.
  5. Stylistically I'd guess "Gunsmoke in Her Eyes" The paint shading technique looks cruder
  6. Now 20% OFF everything -including yesterday's listings - I'm going to close the thread out tonight and send invoices. It's been a great ride with great fellow travelers but the thread is getting a bit unwieldy so I'll start a new one next time. Feel free to make offers on anything you fancy. Saving me the time and trouble of loading stuff up to feebay is worth $ off in my book. If you love this stuff, visit the paperback thread in the pulp section. Some great books get posted there
  7. So I mostly post in the Vintage Paperback thread in the pulp section of the boards, but I have (had) a comic room I've posted about way back. Now we're redoing the finishes in our house and the Comic Room is becoming a proper library. Here's the current state of populating the shelves from all our tubs of vintage paperbacks 😁
  8. Last one for tonight and this thread. I thank all who have stopped by, "took", commented and all around made this a fun thing to do Pellucidar by Edgar Rice Burroughs Ace 65852 1st Frazetta Ace edition. September 1972 $25 SOLD to mrlatko Classic Frazetta GGA saber tooth and pterodactyl battle cover. An amazing image. One of my best doubles. Very Fine. Glossy and new with great colors. Not even a hint of reader crease or any other creasing for that matter. Off white page quality and light interior cover toning. Tiny stamp to page edge. Killer copy of a 1st Frazetta cover.
  9. Lost on Venus by Edgar Rice Burroughs Ace 49503 Undated probably 1974 $10 Frank Frazetta animal fight cover. Later print of the tall Ace edition. Fine plus. Glossy and new looking. Unread with no reader creasing. Tiny rub spotting to the covers. A ding to the upper left with some creasing that doesn't break color that I downgraded for. Super pretty for the grade.
  10. Thongor In The City Of Magicians by Lin Carter Paperback Library 53-665 April 1968 1st Edition 1st Printing, PBO. $25 SOLD to mrlatko Awesome Frazetta Pterodactyl cover. Very Fine. Square and glossy, unread copy with virtually no wear. Couple of tiny tics of edge color wear. Off white pages and light toning to inside covers. A top copy, would be hard to beat.

Great colors. Razor sharp corners. No creasing at all. Tiny edgewear near back bottom spine but overall has incredibly sharp edges with virtually no wear. Great off white page quality and light toning to inside covers. Tiny stamp to page edge. A superior copy and well worth a premium.
  13. The Lad and the Lion by Edgar Rice Burroughs Ace 46870 May 1974 $15 Incredibly detailed sanjulian cover art. The first Ace edition and so much cooler than the earlier Ballantine edition. It's interesting which ones Ballantine got the rights to first after Ace had so many first US pbs. Frazetta was done with new covers for Ace by 197 so one of the premier Vampirella artists got the call. Fine plus. Super glossy, appears unread. No spine wear at all. Another one where the front cover looks 10.0. Back cover has very light spotting of color transfer and a couple light finger bends to left corner. Great page quality.

Fine plus. Super glossy and bright, bright whites, appears unread. No readers creasing at all. Has odd pressure marks on the back cover that don't break color that I lowered the grade for. Some kind of storage wear. Tiny stamp on page edge. Looks like a 10.0 from the front.
  15. The Moon Maid by Edgar Rice Burroughs Ace 53702 January 1974 $18 SOLD to goldust40 First Frazetta cover paperback edition. One of his most classic images. The full page back cover is incredible! Fine plus. Super glossy, appears unread. No readers creasing at all. Has a ding to the lower left corner with light creasing and some light edgewear at bottom edges. Tiny stamp on page edge. This is a stunner overall with off white pages that are very unusual.
  16. Saved the best McGinnis cover tonight for last (imho) The Streaked Blond Slave by Carter Brown Signet P4042 First printing October 1969 $20 SOLD to goldust40 Everything about this composition is awesome, her pose, hair & body. Cover art by Robert McGinnis. A real stunner with great detail on the back cover. Fine Plus. Glossy, square and solid. Light wear near the spine and edges. Another nice copy.
  18. The DumDum Murder by Carter Brown Signet D3348 Third print. Not dated probably 1967 $15 SOLD to crassus Great booty shot. Cover art by Robert McGinnis. Killer colors on this copy! Are those measurements even possible? Fine Plus/Very Fine minus. Glossy, square and solid. Hairline reader crease that doesn't break color. Nice page quality. A really nice copy.
  19. Seidlitz and the Super-Spy by Carter Brown Signet D3168 First print. May 1967 $15 SOLD to crassus Another real killer. Semi-Nude Good Girl with pasties. Cover art by Robert McGinnis. Super sexy. Fine Minus/Fine. Glossy, square and solid. Touch of spine wear. A little bit of faint writing on bottom back cover. Small date in pen on first page. Nice page quality. Long and leggy.
  20. The Hellcat by Carter Brown Signet S2122 First print. May 1962 $15 SOLD to crassus I love this one - leopard print GGA cover art by Robert McGinnis. Sexy as all get out. Fine Minus. Glossy, square and solid. Has a little twist to the spine, a color scrape near spine and lower right corner crease. Some dirt on the whites of the back cover. Decent page quality. You just don't see any of that when looking at this dynamite cover!
  21. The Plush Lined Coffin by Carter Brown Signet D3289 First print. October 1967 $15 SOLD to crassus Beautiful GGA cover art by Robert McGinnis. Fine Plus/Very Fine minus. Glossy, square and solid with some tiny color scrapes and tiny bits of spine wear. Nice page quality.
  22. The Eternal Savage by Edgar Rice Burroughs Ace 21803 Undated. Probably 1973 $10 Roy Krenkel Jr. Saber tooth fight cover. Very Fine minus/Very Fine. Super glossy, appears unread. Virtually no wear. Tiny stamp on page edge. Another stunner overall with off white pages.

This is another stunner overall with off white pages that are very unusual. Reduced a bit for the crease
  24. Out Of Time's Abyss by Edgar Rice Burroughs Ace 64482 March 1973 $20 SOLD to mrlatko First Frazetta cover edition. Ace switched around some of the covers from the earlier editions when they did the tall editions and some of the Frazetta covers that were on other earlier short edition titles were used for the talls, with much greater detail sowing on the tall editions. Very Fine minus. Super glossy, appears unread. Has a thumb bend on top back but this is another stunner overall with off white pages that are very unusual. Tiny stamp on page edge.
  25. Okay, I'm going to get this train rolling again. Pretty much going to be pretty cover art books. The Rider by Edgar Rice Burroughs Ace 72280 October 1974 $20 First paperback edition and only the third book publication. Moody Frazetta cover with great detail. I found another, better copy so offering it here. Very Fine minus. Super glossy, appears unread. Has tiny bits of rubbing wear that actually look far worse in pics than in hand. Tiny stamp on page edge. This is a stunner overall with off white pages that are very unusual.
