  1. Shield, I couldn't agree more. Here's a recent acquistion...
  2. There must be some other Nedor collectors out there. Let's see 'em! Here's the first appearance of The American Crusader...
  3. It's a qualified 9.4, because of a tiny, and I do mean TINY, chip off the top left back cover, and some tanning on the interior covers.
  4. Yeah, I bought that one several years ago as well. It's from the collection of Charles Strong, an editor for Nedor, who kept a single copy of every book he edited. The Fighting Yank 5, Thrilling 38 and Exciting 30 are from the same collection.
  5. Thanks Timely, I bought it years ago, when you didn't have to sell your car to afford a Mile High. Here's a non-pedigree of a book that's practially ungettable in high grade...
  6. The Thrilling #38 is 8.5. Here's one of my favorites...
  7. My main focus in Golden Age is Supes, Action, and Nedor Schomburg war covers. I can honestly say that it's rare with my focus to find books priced under guide. In fact, CGC 6.0 and higher Action war covers and Nedor war covers almost always bring over guide prices. If it's an especially good cover, or a Hitler cover, you could be talking mulitiples of guide. In the case of Nedor, a graded copy is very often the ONLY graded copy, so you have to grab it when it comes along, and that often means paying over guide prices. I also have some concern about the market in twenty years or so. I think mainstream titles will be a safe investment. I'm not sure about the Nedor books, but they're so beautiful that I just can't help myself.
  8. A few years ago, I purchased a gorgeous front cover of Supes #34 off eBay. No back cover, just the front. I had planned on having it framed and displaying it near my comics, but a few weeks later, someone posted a really sharp coverless copy of eBay, and I picked that up too. So, if anyone has a back cover to Superman #34, let me know...
