  1. I didn't realize there was a published CGC grading guide! Not that I'd use it over OSGG which I prefer. But for contests like this, the CGC guide could come in handy - though again, not so much for the SW8 book.
  2. It WAS easily visible from the outside. Look at that corrosion on the top staple in the bc scan - not a speck of silver steel finish left on that one.
  3. 8pts. I KNEW that SW8 was going to be an utter crime. I called it 6.0 for rusty staples that bleed even through from the cf to cover. Even if the rest of the book was 10 (which it wasn't), those staples and stains should never leave the midgrade range. Horrible.
  4. The most interesting part of this video is everything but the girl. Watch everything and everyone in the background... @0:18sec dude at a desk looking at a book and a keyboard, upright box, stack of books, two blurred screens (propietary info?) but that desk is so cramped to be looking at a book/grading. Look at the other desk @0:20sec right before she comes into frame - piles of books and slabs, with one stack actually hanging off the desk by a couple inches with larger items or slabs piled on top of smaller books without slabs. Look at the stacks on the other desks @0:34sec how cramped it all is, boxes laying on their tall side with a sloping stack of slabs laying flat on top of each other. Dude in IM t-shirt @1:42 taking a book out of the bag at a crowded desk with a keyboard and no space to lay the book flat. Yikes. It looks like my own desk at home with piles and stuff but I guess I was expecting something different there. I don't know what I would be expecting, imagining there'd be a lot more space to keep books and space for grading and doing their work at their desks. I dunno.
  5. That smudge on the back, the light fc lower spine wear/color loss (not the glare), and slightly soft spine corners... and 9.6!? Wow. I gave it 9.0
  6. I snatched 36 quarters off my elbow once. Three stacks of twelve. Ha!
  7. With the miserable track record of gender/race-swapping across so many classic tales and characters under the guise of "creativity" , we're probably far more likely to get some alphabet+ version of a "Noreen" Radd instead.
  8. Great books! Take better pictures/scans of front and back - document everything. Maybe even first page and centerfold. Good luck!
