  3. Sequence of completing my very cool (and challenging) prize from @DR.X ... including my reprint of that book! Thanks again Dr.X
  4. I put in my grades. Then I bumped them all at least another grade for what CGC would say
  5. Other than the 22 slabbed books in my PC that I've had for almost 10 years now, I have personally handled exactly zero other slabbed books since before Covid.
  6. Hats off to those who started strong in this round. Tough round IMO, especially those two, ugh-pow! Me after the first round: On to the next round!
  7. Racket Squad in Action #1 4.0 Iron Man #4 7.5 Comet #1 5.0 HoS #90 8.5 Adventure into Fear #10 8.0 I think that's 13 points for me. Most in the first two books (heavily over-graded by CGC IMO). But I'm in it for the fun. Fun. F - U - N
  8. Wow. Rocket Squad a 6.0!?? With that big bc tear, water-stains and thoroughly rusted staple?? 6.0!? I was pretty harsh on shell-head, that lower spine corner-ding/crunch and color-loss across the top, put it at 7.5 for me. The rest I was fairly close. But really, that first one is terrible.
  9. "Marvel twenty centers" Great DC Horror & Tec books though!
  10. Ah, gotcha. They way they were grouped in the pic, I forgot they were not all the same run.
  11. I wanted to fill in the blanks with #6 & #7, but then I saw they don't fit. It's funny how GR #6 & #7 are 25cents, then they go back to 20 cents.
  12. Good idea in principle, and better than nothing I suppose. Wonder though, are you thinking that some sort of microchip/ribbon would be added to the microchamber paper and put inside the book? Or would it be the slab or label that was microchipped? The other issue would be, considering all the QC problems with just the labels getting mixed up, whether a customer would ever know if the right microchip is associated with the right book?
  13. Yep. Like the moisture-sensitive indicators inside cellphones. I still think a tamper-proof metallic seal/tape with heat-sensitive indicator on all four seams.
  14. Very thin metallic/Mylar tape over all four seams. Like the tamper-proof seals on many electronics. At least until a redesign is completed.
