  1. Two nice Atlas covers by Russ Heath and Joe Maneely:
  2. These are ALL amazing books, Mr. Bedrock, but I especially love the colors on this one! I know how much you love funny books, but I also know you're in the biz: I don't know HOW you could ever choose what to keep and what to sell. Me, I'd keep it all, so I guess I'd be pretty unsuccessful as a dealer...
  3. Wow, I can't remember a time where you swam this much in the Silver Age end of the pool. Great books all, but I guess I just figured you tossed them all when you discovered EC's and Gold as a kid....
  4. Nice pick-up! For what it's worth, from my vantage point it does not look like color touch: first, the overall condition of the book suggests it's unlikely there was a color-breaking crease on an otherwise clean margin that even needed that much touch-up; and secondly it appears the trail from the inside front cover would suggest that the color touch cross into the 's' in "Tales" which it does not.
  5. Great pick-up! I wanted one of these forever, after seeing it in the Goodstone book decades ago. Never have seen one in person. The treatment of a husband as a commodity is nigh-hilarious. I know I feel objectified!!!
  6. I can't be the only one who saw the pages peeking out on the new 9.4 that figured it was newly minted rather than newly graded. Those old spine defects might still be there, only now they're on the back cover. I don't know how I'd feel about all this as a big-$$$ buyer, but the incentives that currently conspire to manipulate both the books themselves and the marketplace will not soon disappear, I do opine.
  7. +2 I concur - a version bound some time later and really, really great pick-up. Congrats!!
  8. Super cool, early books, especially The Funnies, but doesn't the price tag imply be bought them at least secondhand? It's a great collection that hasn't been to market in years, but is it an original owner collection?? I got the impression that the OP scored his books from the gentleman who bought them off the newsstand! Either way, the stuff is still out there it appears. Good luck!
  9. Do you like the early 10c and 12c Rawhides, or later price variants and the like? And I've never heard anyone target a Charlton western before? Are you an Oh fan?
  10. Cross-posted from the War thread - Marines In Battle 1 and Battlefield 3:
  11. And a recent pick-up here on the Boards: I always loved this Powell cover!!
  12. Marines in Battle no. 1 - Awesome Russ Heath cover!
  13. I think I have that Motion Picture magazine on the second rack at the bottom. I believe it's Tyrone Power. Still no Action 3 though!
  14. Too bad I don't have an Action 3 to go with this pulp: It's always cool seeing something you own in a context like this!
  15. Yes, that appears to be the correct nick. Thanks! I'll dash him off a line to see if he has some of the covers I need.
  16. There are so many great painted covers from the 60's by Dell and Gold Key. They remind me of mini-movie posters from the 50's.
  17. Those are some killer Batmans, BB. The Bats 47 cover should move up my to-do list, I'm thinking. I entered that user name on the Bay but it didn't seem like it was valid. Is that the correct name? Thanks!
