Click on “Leave Feedback.” At the top of the page you should see a site map with “Booth Setup” in red. Click on that and you should be taken to your booth. Your pieces should have a number with “saved” in red. Click on that and you should have access to sending the watchers an email.

    You saved my life, thanks!!

Well, now that CAF Live is over, I can offer my personal experience.  There were about half a dozen items that interested me (but not enough to pay the posted asking price) and saved them for later hoping that a seller would reach out for a possible deal.  Alas, none did.  But that didn’t really matter as I was able to secure a piece I really wanted out right!  It was piece that was more expensive than what I usually pay for examples from the same series but it was actually 2 consecutive pages (concerning the same character) and it was from someone I had bought from before and always love doing business with (Fisch B.!).  He was gracious enough to accept timed payments in order for me to be able acquire these pages as well as offering me a discounted price at the same time!  He has done more to increase my personal collection than any other single person.  Thanks again, Fisch!

I have sold two pieces and have the other 4 saved by many collectors.

how can I reach out to them? My booth is closed and the only options I can see are - leave a feedback, - see your emails, - my saved artwork. Am I missing something?

  3. Hello folks,

in order to follow some other projects, I am in the process of selling part of my collection.

The last pages I am ready to part from are all high end and have been with me for quite some time. Prices are not cheap (but I think they are market value), but I am open to negotiation as I would prefer not to go down the auction route.

I can hand deliver the pieces during the Lake Como convention (may 18/19) if requested (to you or to some person you trust. Many dealer and collectors will be there.)

Time payments are not an issue at all.

    1) Sandman - Kelley Jones from the season of mists. Shots or dream all over the page. I can take a small sandman page (with dream) as a partial trade. I love the idea of a small trade maybe more than a straight sale. Must be from the 1/75 run.

    2) Hellboy - Mike Mignola published pin up. Big Red, monsters, animals, skulls and all you need.

    3) BPRD cover - Mike Mignola. Liz, Abe, Johann and Roger. The full team. Statues, marble and the classic composition.

    4) Shade the changing man panel page - Christofer Bachalo. Shade with his coat, Lenny and Kathy. And a moving street. Vertigo style!

    5) The new frontier panel page - Darwyn Cooke. Wonder Woman relaxing and Superman (small small small) arriving. Might consider a partial trade with some other Darwyn art.

Pages are not on CAF, but will be displayed, together with prices, on the first day of the virtual convention.

If you wanna talk about the art, see an image, discuss the prices or proceed with a deal, drop me a line here in the board or at pestonaccio@gmail.com

I am fast when replying, but consider the time difference.

    Cheers,

    Luca

  4. Hello folks,

after many years in our hobby I have decided to follow some other interests and projects in my life; for this reason, I am starting to consider selling what is left of my collection, apart from a couple of pieces (manara, toppi, bachalo’s death and hewlett). I prefer dealing privately with other collectors and discuss about our passion (and probably loose some money) rather than consign the art to auction houses.

IMHO we are talking about some great art here, so don’t expect to buy and flip the next day.

I have some numbers in mind, but haven’t had the time to do a proper due diligence. These pieces won’t be offered anywhere but here for the next days, then a couple of them (or maybe more or maybe all) will be published in my booth during the next CAF live (may 2024).

The first page that comes with a price tag is the Steve Dillon page from preacher 20; you can find it here.

    sorry for the long rant,

feel free to email here in the board or at pestonaccio@gmail.com

Yes, you can, but it’s not the same thing, right?

full disclosure: I sold two pages from THCOL a few years ago. One went for nearly the same price as this ‘postcard’ art piece, while the other was a multi panel panel with large images of Death- it went for  $ tens of thousands.

I have traded a very nice THCOL page before covid for 10/15K max and it was a very good example. Dunno what page can fetch 60k from the mini. Again, I have a wonderful example and am ready to sell for that amount.

I hope you agree that the season of mist page result is out of this world.

You thought the Death was 6-7x your expectations?

This image was published and republished everywhere.  It was far more than just ‘postcard art’ and it’s one of the top two images of Death.

I was thinking $30K was the bare minimum for this piece.

additionally, the Season of Mists page also did remarkably well at $60K.  So even with all of the Sandman artwork available over the past year, the market seems to be absorbing it favourably

It is an iconic piece for sure. But you can get a page from THCOL for a fraction of that price. Personally, being into storytelling and art (and being sandman a lot about word building) I prefer panel pages over illustrations. I had stalked David in the past in order to acquire this piece but he never wanted to sell.

that sandman piece is great but 60k is bonkers. I have A better piece from that storyline. For that amount I would definitely sell.

I just wanted to laugh at myself a bit and was truly shocked how much the final was...55k before BP

I thought I had some experience and expertise about sandman and its related material. This image fetched at least 6/7X my expectations.

    man, I am out.

What a wonderful page. For anyone with an Iranian friend in their 50s or 60s who was forced to leave after the revolution in 79, this graphic novel is a must-read to gain even the smallest understanding of how badly their world was torn apart. Persepolis is a devastating tale of the betrayal of a smart and talented people, and 40+ years has not dimmed the hurt and pain behind it.

That is exactly what this GN is about, but it’s told through the eyes of a young girl who doesn’t understand what is happening around her. And why it is happening. It is something absolutely stunning. A real masterpiece.

  9. Good evening folks,

I was just wondering if this incredible convention is known outside of Europe. It started slow before COVID, then stopped (as everything else), then reappeared with an incredible cast of guests and dealers (https://lccaf.com/it/home/). I think Steve Morger is behind it, with the help of Frank Cho, Enrico Salvini and many others.

I will be there on Saturday the 13th; is somebody from this group attending as well?

    Ciao

    Luca
