Not sure if it was the same one, probably was, but I thought about bidding on that Spec Spidey 200. Don't know that its worth anything, but I remember the story fondly.
-
Mohawk Valley, in '65, any chance there are any Marvels? OO just a DC collector? Know nothing about that pedigree, had always assumed it was another 40s/50s Golden Age one.
-
Heritage right? think I bid on those.

9 later in the run Ohios.
Had the chance to grab some of the earlier ones, but the price/grade just wasn't right.
Another ASM collector has been corrupted by "other" books.

I like to double fullback some of my nicer books so I buy a size higher bag/board for my larger books, the pre 1975 stuff. The 7 1/4 fit well enough, but not with two boards in there.
the 4 mil holders do provide that much more protection, and also allow you to yank the books out of the box a bit easier, without grabbing near the book.

I don't make a lot of cash at my 9 to 5, but the proceeds from selling crack on the side can get one a lot of slabs, no doubt. Crack for Slabs, its practically a UN program.
-
Grabbed the ASM 192 Winnipeg offa comiclink. Finally have a run of 4 slabs, woot.

ASM 126 9.4 (Q)
I tested out ComicSupply's VF/NM - NM/M and got a NM ASM twofiftysomething.
DD 25 Ohio and DD 62 from the Blazing One, probably a bit over a week ago.
Otherwise my purchases in previous weeks of a half-dozen Northland Sgt Furys, two Green River Sgt Furys and 9 Ohio Tales to Astonish have sapped me for a bit.
-
Thanks to Blazing Bob for adding another great looking Ohio to the collection (and to Red Hook for letting me know it was going to be available).

Apologize for the simplistic question, but... How are raw pedigree books identified ? It has to be more than just characteristics, right ? (like dates and such). If I send in a raw Pacific Coast book to CGC how do they know it really is one ? Doesn't seem like a loose accompanying COA would be very persuasive, so what am I missing.
I probably won't slab many of my raw books, but the COA and a verifyable track of ownership back to the original owner is what I required before I grabbed any Ohios and I'm guessing its what CGC needs as well. I asked Haspel what info he had so I could attempt to verify the Ohios were what they were represented as. Everything matched up perfectly.

That one! =)

Believe it was a Marvel western of some sort. Not a collector of the western books or I'd have bin'ed it myself. =)

Damn you Steve for getting me started on the "Pedigree" chase

Thank you.
Hopefully, I can do this again some time soon!!!
Aye, thanks, I got some great Caps out of my sfilosa stalking.

Shocker, not an Ohio! Diamond Run.

Can't remember the specific book, but it was a late Silver ASM. While transfering it out of the bag/board I bought it in years ago and into a brand new bag/board, I placed the book on the bed. Girlfriend's cat promptly jumped up onto the bed, landing on the comic. VF+ ====> VG, just like that.

Very nice,
Ohio?
I've picked up quite a few lately. No premium on Ohios is nice, so I'm able to get nicely graded books with some provenance often a good deal below guide. Hard to pass up since, for me, the pencil adds something rather than detracts. =)
