First initial "D"?

You "just" entered the hobby and stumbled on this? Just seems strange, I have spent a ton of money with @Filter81 here and on ebay and always felt everything was above board. Anyone know if CGC notates restoration on the new custom labels?

IG has very much a feel of spec market, Silver Surfer 3 goes nuts due to speculation everyone lists for record sales and the show ends and the trend moves to Kang. I see the same buyers going heavy after each one, have to give those sellers credit they hype up those books and the buyers follow. Granted the argument will always go back to "it is higher than pre pandemic". This is true but almost true every year the calendar turns. Just the top seems much higher, much to Gator's comment of 200-400%.

Starting noticing the high flying IG Sellers who post "these sold this week" are posting mostly major keys, so those are still holding and climbing. I do see minor keys sit or get pulled down (assuming they did not sell) whereas in March/April they would get scooped up at whatever the asking was.

I am going to replace my vote for Paste Pot Pete (since it has been determined he is actually Dr. Doom) and cast a new vote for Deacon Frost.

Iron Man 55 is very notorious for bad centering so not out of the norm.

Is there a dealer/exhibitor list? Looks like I will be in town for work so may push my flight back to Monday.

Yeah, I think the grade will be held down, a .5 bump maybe but too much holding it down for it to climb to a 3.0. With that said, the FC could certainly be bumped up from a presentation stand point . I was going to have Kenny look at it. I shot him a video of it since that shows the NCB better.

Been on the fence on this book. It definitely has non color breaking creases on the front and back cover but with the piece missing on the back cover I have been back and forth about sending it to a trusted presser and then back to CGC. I am happy with the presentation for the grade but also know it would look better if it was pressed. That being said not 100% the grade would bump much if I did crack it to be pressed with that corner missing although I have seen books with that much missing a few grades higher (although usually the main defect). Here are the grading notes- I did post on IG so sorry to flood a couple of platforms. So what are you guys thoughts on a CPR on it? : multiple crease cover breaks color multiple tear cover multiple tracing interior tape back cover tape interior back cover tape page(s) 1 tracing front cover wear all edges cover breaks color

I actually landed a book on Shortboxed that I had been trying to find for some time. I thought Gene getting involved with myself and the seller is what made it happen, he negotiated on both sides to get to a price we were both happy with. As for IG sellers, I don't keep up with every little first appearance but some of those guys do.You need to know when the first appearance of the wood that made the handle of a bad guys knife, they know. It does make for some interesting box digging in the "random S/A B/A boxes" these are all now in higher demand than the $3-5 range books they had just been apparently. Except for MP15, I guess I thought it had the Stamp cut out, so was certainly scratching my head as to why it was in that box.

Interesting, I have a WT that needs to be prescreened, it has been there since 6-8 with no movement and the lady said yesterday that they had changed some processes so that could be why I had no movement.

Agree, I have thought of running a WTB ad, but these come up so seldom on here I figure it would not shake any copies out.

Finally joined the club. I have screen shots of nearly every copy sold publicly since November and most of the time I was the underbidder so usually close but no cigar. I also did not want to buy one I wanted to upgrade immediately so that may have delayed this longer than it should have. All the X-men 1 versus Hulk 1 talk, for me Hulk 1 all day long. I have owned all the "key" SA keys at some point except this one and SC4 so pretty excited to have this copy.

If it was the one with the top right corner missing a piece, unfortunately I ran you up a little during live, but was not the only one bidding, it jumped a good amount in a few minutes.
