  1. Is it free from chipping though? I was just looking at it and it looks to have some pre chipping at least just above the building. In hand it would be easier to tell.
  2. This is probably true on some books. With some Golden and Silverage that were already taking a ride to Sarasota, I flipped through and tossed multiple copies of Secret wars 8, ASM 252, ASM 361 and Spawn 1's in figuring I would sell when they got back since they were going nuts. I honestly have almost forgot what is there so it will be like Christmas when they get back.
  3. These books are $400, market advice, $600, 15% off so $850 total.
  4. No because I own multiples, I think there are two more upstairs. One of my favorite Hulk covers
  5. I have sat in on some of those. It is still hard to understand the true market based on those live sales, there are certainly some ego purchases as well as some people racing to grab the book before the seller really gives a grade or description. I recall one with a lot of good Silver Age that when the books were quoted as VF- and VF+, the Host and others would ask, "what is the number grade" once they said "8.5" 4-5 people try to buy it. I felt like in that one I only got lucky buying books prior to the host asking for the number. I can't say I have seen something we would consider a key go for a deal in the live sales. The Hosts do a good job of helping hype up the books ( "guys this is a newsstand" and boom gone) to create that FOMO as you mentioned. I have started to see as others have mentioned books sit now though on their feeds and some during the live sales. I bought a couple of bigger books this year that were books I had hoped to get last year, they felt like they had (Hulk 1) some increases due to the timing but if they fit what I wanted they came home. What I personally have done is go back into runs and other books I have overlooked like TTA in grade in the past and had decent luck on those. Those are still off the radar for the most part. I had a few DC SA keys I had planned on getting but they just are not coming to market so no sample size there to share.
  6. Lol. I counted about 5 but I think OAAW83 is #1 for DC.
  7. Over-Under on when we see multiple threads titled "Is TOS39 a top 5 Sa book now?"
  8. Take please, sorry for the multiple posts, not used to having this much time to peruse.
  9. Here was the final on it in case anyone did not track.
  10. Thank you @Joshua33 and @jimjum12 Sorry to derail, both quotes make sense for why I was outbid.
  11. I agree and wanted two issues, 27 and 33. I had hoped to land another to use later as trade bait but the prices were seemingly high and in front of the two I was wanting to grab. The 33 got crazy ($8400) and I was a little more happy with the 27 when I folded.
  12. Here is an absolute first. This never works for me on the other end. I Submitted my bid with what showed 3 seconds left with what I thought was plenty of room to land the book. The bid gets bumped up to $302.99 with what looked like no time. Auction closed and shows I won, I go to pay for it and now it shows I lost. Not the end of the world but have never seen this, time stamp shows it was outbid by the same guy who went up to $302 with no time left, he must have some wicked fast internet.
  13. I was able to land Issue 27, still not in hand yet but @Bunky Brian listed on their IG winning issue 34. I have not seen anyone else posting wins. I bid on all of them except the Slightly Brittle page books and bidding was pretty intense.
