  1. 100% and reducing the incentive for the dealers is one of the worst business decisions I have ever seen. You have brand advocates with brick and motor stores helping you facilitate your product with their resources for very little incentive, they are the face of the service and deal directly with your clients, most likely pushing your product and dealing with your customer service issues. You cut them out??? What business classes did these guys take??? I noticed a well known dealer announced on Instagram they no longer accept CGC submissions, so suspect more direct submissions from the Houston area.
  2. Put this on the road yesterday to see if it gets checked in before my Walkthrough that still has not been checked in. I think they are clearly marked...
  3. What is funny is I made joke in the What would you do if you had 100K thread in late January, I was half joking but really thought that if the generation that grew up loving GXSM1 were driving up most of the pricing they would also want this book, which is not all that easy to come by any way. I actually bid strong on each copy on CL since then to see them sell for crazy prices in regards to recent past sales.
  4. I don't think they take a wire, at least last big deal I had they did not, but correct on no fee by check.
  5. I listed what issue has a back scan, appreciate the feedback and was up front about double checking my grading so I can share with the owner. Just helping him out.
  6. I had 7, 7.5 with a visit to a press magician.
  7. Thanks What about this one? We are aligned there, I had 3.5 and 7
  8. I posted in the Spiderman collecting thread a good friend had reached out to me about selling his spare Spiderman comics that were not burned up when his house burned a few years ago. Some of the books are very solid, although more run filler books. So I wanted to ask the groups opinion of grade on a couple books so I can let him know. I have a good idea but what would you grade this ASM 40 and ASM 50? Back Cover on 40 is very clean so just a front cover scan on it. Back cover is the 50 back cover.
  9. Walkthrough Delivered -Via USPS 4-16 Received- SFG- G/QC- Shipped-
  10. I have a Walkthrough that has been there since the 16 and is not received in yet.
  11. I am getting the same thing, you ever feel like you should have left a book alone, this one is proving that between the terrible communication from the presser to this. Live and learn.
  12. Thanks, Mine is just a run of the mill X-Men 1. They are probably sick of grading them.
  13. You sir will be hit with a fee for suggesting business practices, a tax fee may be assessed after the accounting team reviews.
  14. By the time they get back they may be 4x. No way any of this improves TAT. Not in the short term, PSA had to completely halt submissions to try and get it under control for them, they only allow the most expensive tiers right now.
  15. Wow that is great for you. Called first thing, very helpful but replied they are 3-4 days behind at least, not sure how your made it through, unless my presser did not correctly mark the box, which he says he did, also said it would ship the next day for 3 weeks so not sure how confident I am in that. CGC did ask for the tracking number this morning to put a ticket in to find it so fingers crossed one day it shows up.
  16. I gave them a call this morning, they stated that walkthrough's are taking 3-4 Business days just to receive them in. Sounds like they are utterly swamped as the customer service rep rattled off a canned statement about how many books they are getting a day, but she was pretty helpful.
  17. Figured maybe you guys would like enjoy this story. A good friend of mine I met dealing with cars and such told me he collected comics when we met. He is one of the few die hard car nuts I have met that was also into comics about the same as myself. I would share my pick ups and he would always share a picture of his. The difference was he bought most of them off the rack. I would estimate his AF15 at a 7.0. He lives in Gatlinburg and if you recall they had massive fires a few years back and his house was lost during the fires. Felt terrible for him but they rebuilt and things seems to be doing well for him. Out of the blue he calls me and informs me that he found his duplicate Spiderman comics. me thinking they were all in the house thought it may have just been a few, but he shot these pictures over and said they were stored in his shop a few miles away in a trunk, the shop was not burned and these comics survived. After a couple conversations he basically said, I would prefer someone to enjoy them and he could make a little cash instead of possibly losing them again. So in a few days they will be here and I looking them over to decide what to do with them. What is sad is what he lost in the fire. I think that is what pushed him to let these go once he found them.
  18. I was relieved when they actually got to CGC, I used a highly recommended presser for this book due to the value, never again, got "I promise it is shipping the next day" for three straight weeks, I finally offered to pick it up myself since I was in the area and it magically was ready and shipped to CGC. So I am not really even confident it is there which sucks considering it is a 5 figure book. Lesson learned and the rest of my books were shipped to Joe even while this guy had this one. Fingers crossed they are just days behind.
  19. From quickly reading, I assume we are several business days now from them even receiving a Walkthrough. I had a book get pressed, then sent in so hoping he did as I asked and marked the box correctly. Showed delivered last week via USPS but no update on my account it is in process.
  20. So SS3 is not a scorching hot can't lose book right now???
  21. So I guess I can quit hitting email refresh hoping to have my Walkthrough submission received. The tracking number verification was there Saturday but is gone now so no idea when it will move in the system.
  22. Centered all day for me. For SA keys for me it is Centering >PQ>Marvel Chipping. I will drop down a level on PQ to not have MC. I can live with corners missing kids cutting little parts out more than MC, personally.
