  1. Put my Motu Collection on Craigslist. Had a guy say I have some Gi joes I can trade for it, sent a picture I said come over! The Gold Head is a new addition already had the other.
  2. I got to say I have got more high quality goods in their live auctions at very reasonable price in the past two months.Been landing Nightforce figures on nearly every auction. Hoping to sell the MOTU stuff, not really my thing.
  3. Yes just joined a few weeks ago. Had stopped using Facebook but found those groups much easier to buy sell on than anywhere else.
  4. The Flagg had to leave the living room so starting to re arrange the toy/comic room which is quickly turning into the Gi Joe room.
  5. That Senna McLaren though, He was to me the best ever, I still remember watching the Imola race like it was yesterday.
  6. Got a call from the guy I bought the last group of Joe's saying, we found some more bad guys if you want them. I think I will, yes.
  7. Another Original Owner collection within 15 miles of the house. This one I will have to chip away at as it is extremely large and has nearly if not every figure from 82-90. Needed a few Straight arms so built a deal around those, but the rest are duplicates. Same story 65 year old parent retiring and moving. Son my age said sell everything and take a vacation.
  8. Good Eye Patrick. It is the Dark Faced version. I noticed it and Grayskull looked complete, Leg bands are shot on several and I think you got candle wax in that house as Torture so I am soaking all of them for a couple days.If I can get them cleaned up and standing I think they will display ok on one side of the room. Thanks Phillip
  9. Landed another original owner toy collection, I am not big into MOTU but had to buy all of it to take the Joe stuff home. Not nearly the deal the Flagg collection was but much better figure selection. He must have like He-man way more as those are worn and the Joe's are near mint. One of the best Mail Away Cobra Commanders I have seen ever. Serpentor is pretty flawless but crotch broke trying to swap o-rings so will have to repair.Had a nice full cardback stack with it. What is interesting here is I never have seen any real qty of Joe stuff in years and in 4 weeks three collections have came up within a few minutes from the house. In two of those the parents of my generation (Just turned 45 myself) were retiring and moving to Florida, the other the parents had passed away.
  10. Thanks. I am finding small parts all over the place. Keel Haul's gun was located so that is secured. I originally thought it was just the deck and super structure and the guy set the price so for what I have into it I have a long ways to go before I am near what a complete one sells for. Thank Patrick. It will be a labor of love I am sure. I already got in trouble for "playing" with Gi Joes until midnight the last two nights by the wife.
  11. It is nothing special, it is a commercial peroxide solution, they use it to re clear soles of Jordan's turn Storm Shadow's white. Some of those products work then after a while the staining or yellowing comes right back. This mixture seems to last, but you can't keep it in the sun too long.
  12. I tell you I never anticipated anything like it within 5 miles from the house, not that it is earth shattering just haven't seen a FLagg for sale in the wild since the 90's. It is missing a few parts and I will start looking for them(some may be here) but I wanted to get it together to see how to fit it into the collection room. I don't think my wife will let it stay on the "formal" side of the house. Was able to put together 20 figures last night, there is another 20 with broken crotches or missing right legs (must have been a torture method as most of the Cobra's are missing right legs). There are a ton of small parts in one of the bags, missiles, covers hatches etc. I did hit some parts with a bleaching method to get rid of the yellowing.
  13. After striking out last week I fell into a surprise collection this week right next to my house. Still cleaning and trying to separate parts. Guy said they got the Flagg for Christmas and put it together, after a couple of months his mom made them put it up, he said it had been in his attic since then. Still shocked to find it honestly.Looks to be about 30 loose figures in those bags including Keel Haul.
  14. It is different times for sure. They had a hard 9 am start and it looked like the senior olympics when that garage door went up. They sold all the toys within 30 minutes and as I mentioned way above market. There was one lady asking us if this or that was complete and she was picking up store way overpriced and certainly not complete. The loose figures were the head scratcher to me though. As best I could tell at 500 for the lot they were 10/15 each and I saw hardly any accessories. I went there thinking 200 was probably the asking for them and would have paid that easily. It certainly looked like a collector from the exact same era as me so 83-85 with a few 86 items but definitely a hard stop. Had I not had some parts at home I would have probably not got anything but that stinger was as clean as I have seen and I have the missiles from a trashed one.
  15. Noticed a pic of Joes in an estate sale. Thought I will go up early and grab them, how many local toy nerds are around here. I have to admit I was profiling the group and thought the three guys behind me are most likely here for toys, but the people in front of me were all senior citizens talking about Jade stuff I had no clue about. There was a lady about in her mid forties I did not see as competition. Door opens and mad rush. They had all the joes in the garage as you came in, I saw a shelf of vehicles and went that way. MISTAKE. The mid forties lady hooked left and grabbed all the loose joes. The three guys behind me crowded me at the shelf with the vehicles and we picked through them. Loose lot sold for $500. I thought that was pretty steep for estate sale, but I don't think that lady even asked. I wasn't looking for the flip but was looking to upgrade some loose figures. The vehicles were very high even incomplete, like $18 for a Water moccasin that only had the fan and a Mobat for 45. I did grab a Stinger jeep since it was very clean although not complete and a night landing raft that had the gun and shovel for 25 for the pair.
  16. Some buyers on here are completely interested in the jackpot/flip lately.
  17. Lucjan was awesome to deal with a stand up boardie with a great taste in books!
  18. I have a small rant. I actually have not logged on since this incident after my last sales thread which was pretty good I thought for both sides involved. Everyone has talked about how much things have changed and while I have only sold here a few times I always had pleasant transactions. Since I have been moving out of Bronze and Silver I let a few freebies go with books that people bought. I have had that happen to me and was always grateful and felt especially with raw books that I had multiples of to pass those along to other collectors. On my last sales thread I tossed a few books in and while I did not do it for anything in return I did not get as much as a thank you, I thought oh they may not have got it or I mixed the buyers up in my mind, but then I see the freebie listed for sale. And I get it when you relinquish possession of something you are ok and have no control over it but just seems a courtesy would be in order instead of seeing it list up for sale without even acknowledging they got it. I think what also bothers me is this. Three people got notes that I may have shipped the wrong books. This person was one of three. I had mixed up my tracking in paypal and sorta confused myself so sent a note to the three I thought may be getting wrong books. This person was one of the three and did in fact get a book he did not pay for. The more I thought of it,the more it concerned me that he did not even acknowledge it knowing I was afraid I had orders mixed up. It was a semi key in low grade that was given away and I sold two others in thread.
  19. Everything should be shipped. I put tracking in PayPal but will make sure to update everyone. thanks again for all the purchases
  20. Agree it was fun and I think there was some good deals to be had here. I may liquidate further when I am off the road.
  21. Closing down. I am working on getting payment details to everyone and will be shipping out tomorrow any paid. Thank you all that bought, the car wound up coming back up so it looks like it will be worth it
  22. Shutting down at 5 est. Not trying to use any sales tactics just have to travel too much over the next two weeks so don't want to make people wait. I have pretty much let myself separate from a couple keys people have been asking for. So... Asm 129 cgc 9.4. I will take 3K plus shipping HOS 92 CGC 6.5 I will take $1250 plus shipping Also Spiderman 300 9.6 in the modern thread deal fell through so it is available for $635 shipped. That way you guys can decide shipping at your cost and those are bottom numbers. I won't replace these books, these would need to be paid for asap as I can't do time payments on them.
