  1. In the current CL auction a few books I have been after are definitely cheaper this round, just upgraded a Conan 1 for about 30% below the 90 day and half of the high from last year, but twice what I paid a few years ago.
  2. I finally got the last of my submissions back, alot of these were long time in the collection and somewhat forgotten. The Batman 189 I felt was 8.0, The Batman 227 I thought was 5ish and The Our Army at war I really thought was a 8.5-9.0. Had a lot of other Marvel books go and most were strict but was pretty happy with these, especially the 189.
  3. Thanks, this is what I had it as also. I have it and a few other DC books that should arrive today and will share. Also sent a super nice Our Army At war 110 in this group.
  4. Exactly, the good thing is on most 2nd's there is some sort of indicator on the cover and this book is not very high dollar, if TMNT was missed that could be costly to someone who does not know what to look for on the cover of that book. Here is another one on Ebay right now. CGC Cert # 2063617004 Title G.I. Joe, A Real American Hero Issue 21 Issue Date 3/84 Issue Year 1984 Publisher Marvel Comics Grade 9.4 Page Quality WHITE Grade Date 12/20/2019 Grade Category Modern Art Comments Larry Hama story Larry Hama & Steve Leialoha art Ed Hannigan & Klaus Janson cover Key Comments 1st appearance of Storm Shadow. Silent issue. Grader Notes Unavailable
  5. What do you guys guess the grade is on this one? Forgot to grab more scans but it has White pages and high gloss all over.
  6. I would think the heavy chipping and poor eye appeal actually hurt it. The 3.0 on CC tonight met the same fate.
  7. I noticed a book on Instagram in a live sale that was a known second print but not labeled, if this continues to go un noticed there are going to be some very unhappy owners. Could not grab a screen shot .
  8. By some Miracle, one of the Value submissions flipped to G/QC today.
  9. Was more of a joke, that was about when all comics were going nuts, but several Joe comics like this one was hitting $500 out of no where.
  10. And back in hand. I really don't see anything pulling the other 3 into 9.6's at all and no notes so it is what it is. I am a sucker for Zartan and vividly remember the commercial for this book as a kid. Need a couple more Covers then can update the display.
  11. That's a little crazy, 9.8's in that run certainly show separation from 9.6's. I usually buy a few from each auction for a little more than grading but they are normally 9.6's.
  12. Gi Joe 22 for $875? I typically bid on all the Joe issues but don't recall that book having such high sales numbers before.
  13. When you started collecting did you think, I hope one day I will be able to read and determine actual lunar stages from the roman calendar as well as estimate business days from now and in the past.
  14. This has been my stance for a long time, nearly all my 5 figure books have come from them, when I see the instagram sellers selling for so much I wonder if the buyers know about CL at all, same books, more choices in most cases and way better pricing.I also don't pay taxes to CL so about a 7% swing for me versus HA. Last year they had some really high sales though, I had a couple bigger books I was killed on. I did get a Bronze book this round that had been trending up the last few months for well below recent sales.
