  1. Other than the Daredevil born again we have the same tastes cryptkeeper I'm a classic artist collector myself.
  2. Paramagic they can be expensive however can you imagine how much it would cost to own one page never mind a whole book devoted to an artist. I figure that on their release that they work out to be $1.50 a page now that's value for money, well that works for my reasoning but then I'm a NUT.
  3. I have about 14 of them now and I study them for hours on end, if anyone is keeping record I spent the most time on the Marvel covers edition WOW.
  4. Is there any updates or rumours concerning the Artist editions for Gene Colan or Steve Ditko? I'm not getting any younger PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I was in the same situation recently with thousands of spare comics, what I did was calculate roughly what my profit would be from their original prices then kept the keys for Ebay and the others I sold to a vendor who did conventions. What I did was visit this vendor and built up a relationship with him and explained my situation to him, I had sold at conventions myself and was enjoying it immensely until my health told me to stop. I worked out the above total for profit and he was more than pleased to help me out, a win win situation.
  6. Amazing Fantasy 15 Amazing Spider-man 1 Any grade then I could die happy, failing that then just issue 1 of Amazing to complete my Spidey collection.
  7. Am I seeing a pattern here? Little Lulu seems to be in a lot of the hauls on the forum, could she be an unknown super villain hiding behind her cuteness all these years...Ta ta ta!
  8. That issue 7 cover? Freud would have a field day with that. Actually you have hit it on the head (not poor Neron's) comics and the love of art go hand in hand. I also spent my time drawing as a child however unlike yourself I never kept any.
  9. Is there any place where these covers are collected I love the artwork.
  10. My head hurts! From an owl to a howl that's a lot of different page grades.

  12. I don't slab my books but it does look like moisture, however is it the outer slab or the laminate inside? From what I've read here it can be improved which means that it is not in the plastic making process itself, can anyone identify what actually causes it thanks.

  16. This reminds me of that old joke "I've told you a million times not to exaggerate!" What if the 40,000 was hedged.
  17. I once heard a story about an magazine publisher who burnt all his number 1 issues that he had in a lock-up, he hoped to make it rarer in collecting circles. He was being inventive unfortunately it's still freely available, while not rare it was still a nice magazine.
  18. That's a sensible answer Dude, however Hollywood went for the Gee willikers type of kid.
