  1. X-Men #188-193 - the complete "Supernovas" storyline - awesome Mike Carey with insane Chris Bachalo art - FREE - to the first person who buys more than one thing in the thread (Must be claimed!)
  2. Tom King's Vision 1, 2, 3 - these are more in the VF range and small pics so I can get them all in one post! - take all 3 for $10
  3. Generations Wolverine & All-New Wolverine - Fan Expo Variant by Stanley "Artgerm" Lau - NM - $15 (signed on the top left by Artgerm)
  4. Hey folks, Like many, I've got too many books. And I keep buying more. So, time to move a few things out! Rules: (1) Payment: PayPal only please. (2) Shipping: Shipping from Canada to anywhere is expensive but for this thread I'm going to do $10 flat rate to anywhere in Canada or the US, regardless of how much you buy. (Like I said above - need to move stuff out!) If you're not in Canada or the US, drop me a line and we'll figure something out. (3) Returns: Gladly accepted within 7 days of you receiving the book BUT you have to pay to ship it back to me. (4) Offers/discussions/general nonsense welcome via PM, but is king for claiming books. Now, on with the show...!
  5. Can't believe I didn't see this! I don't think I can get good enough books for end Sept...hopefully there will be another op bc I'd be in for sure!
  6. I had a great show too! A few random thoughts: (1) My buddy Bri and I swung by to see @Iceman399 and @Guardian Comics. Bri bought one of their NM 98 and a really good looking UXM 266. I managed to get a 4-5 great House of Mystery & Secrets from Jim's stash and was quite happy with the wicked deal he cut me! (2) Big shout out to @TheRealVenom for pointing me to Bill McKay (earlier in this very thread I believe!). Got a great sketch from Bill and, God, probably 5-7 other sketches too. Really great art haul this year. (3) Ken Lashley mystery box - was stupid awesome. Ken's booth is always a pile of fun and I was lucky enough to score the cover to X-Men Gold #12 in my mystery box (and would have bought 2 or 3 more of them but every day I went back, they were already sold out!) (4) Adam Kubert experience rivalled the Quesada one from last year. Fantastic. Whoever this is next year, I'm in. (5) Jim Lee was at least 45 mins late for the non-CGC experience but with those Image founders, 45 mins late is pretty much early LOL. The white-shirt volunteers did a good job keeping the crowd contained but, as always with volunteers, didn't really know the full scale of things. One woman in a white jersey said to me "everything will be on time because I'm in charge!!!". I've chuckled about that line a couple of times since! The positive thing about the time delay here was that I was able to leave Jim Lee, go see Adam Kubert for 60 mins, and get back to Jim Lee Experience at pretty much still the same spot in line. (6) I must've gotten 45 books signed. None for CGC (which is odd for me) but guys like Mike Zeck, Kevin Maguire, Pat Broderick - they're right in my wheelhouse and I just couldn't pass up the chance to get them to sign a small pile (probably 6-8 books each). Adam Hughes too! (7) I loved the layout of Artist's Alley this year. The fact that I never had to use the signing area is part of what made this show so great for me. (8) For the first time since I started attending Fan Expo I didn't see @Kevin Boyd in person. And that was the only real downside to my show. Great job Kevin - absolutely fantastic guest list, piles of great vendors enabling me to buy way too many books and the layout of that South Building is really coming along. (I took one trip to North on my way-out Friday - looked good too but I just did a quick browse and hit the road so no legitimate input on that side) (10) What could make the show better? Paul Smith. ‘Nuff said!
  7. Saw Kwan today - he was stylish (as always) and I grabbed a copy of this bad boy. Looks SHARP! Good call everyone who bought one!
  8. Yeah it's gotta be tough to land big-name Hollywood types. Last year was the first time I'd ever done anything on the celeb side (Mark Hamill) and probably won't venture over there this year. I love Doctor Who (even Nu-Who!) but those guys are always mobbed and I don't love them that much. I'm actually the reverse of you RealVenom - wish there was a way to upgrade my premium to VIP to so I can skip lines for Zeck and Hughes! (And several other comic guys I've not met.) (and I know Kevin shares my love of the greates X-Men artist -- Paul Smith! Someday he'll make it...! LOL)
  9. Nice! I didn't get mine graded so thanks for the insight. And for the heads up on Bill McKay - this show is going to be huge (both guest and $ wise!)
  10. If Dan Mendoza is there again I'm getting another sketch! Dear everyone else - after I get mine, feel free to buy 2 or 3 yourselves! Worth every penny and an awesome guy to chat with.
  11. Hey Royce - not sure if you have 4 Valiant bags or 4 total bags! But Valiant bag if you've more than one! (if not no worries!)
  12. Opena! Nice! This is the first year I wish I'd bought that VIP package. Never really needed it before but this years comic guests - would have made it worthwhile for certain.
  13. Do it! But leave yourself a ton of time. The warehouse from Indiana Jones has nothing on the Guardian setup!
  14. Awesome! I spent about 3hrs at Guardian a few months back - need to hit it up again. Would have been cool to see a guy like Greg there. (Did he have a dozen copies of Solar #10 CGC 9.8s on him?)
