  3. This is so sad, my condolences to his family. I had a couple of purchases from Howard, and he was a really nice guy to deal with.
  4. Here's my humble comic room/home office In pride of place; some original art by Erik Larsen, Goran Parlov, Jordi Bernet, Shane Glines, Dave Gibbons and a signed print by Milton Caniff. And of course my ASM 121 My display cabinet with Hot Toys figures, and on top original artwork by Mark Buckingham, David Lloyd and Emma Rios. Hot Toys Avengers plus Spidey and Wolverine. Opposite wall with my small CGC SS collection. And lastly a very shiney cabinet so you can't acually get to see whats in it, but theres some Dave Stevens CGC slabs, a Rocketeer 1/6 figure, a Hot Toys Starlord, various statues, graphic novels and my Gold, Silver & Bronze Age keys All of my other comics are stored away in a closet.
  5. Some warmup sketches of Hellboy, Harley, Hellblazer and Hulk

  7. yep. I wondered how long it would take for the announcement to get out, surprisingly less time than I imagined.
  8. This "make new characters" mantra that keeps getting rolled out by the people who have a problem that a fictional comic book character gets a change of ethnicity or gender, is really getting old. What work for hire comic book writer or artist is going to create a brand new superhero for Disney? When they could do the same for Image and actually make money from it. Believe me, I have worked for Disney, I have read their contracts, they are intense. An established IP like Spider-man is guaranteed recognition, it's a flagship brand, it's not a risk. The change of the character dressed up as Spider-man is just keeping that brand fresh and relevant. There is a whole world of young Disney consumers out there that may want to see a different Spider-man these days, whether thats in a comic, in a movie or on a lunchbox. Disney know what they are doing, they are playing the long game here. I get that some people get upset that things they are familiar with change. But it's a comic book. A 50 year old character isnt going to last forever and mean the same to future generations. Comics need to evolve to maintain creativity.
  9. ..... you're still covered if you used Paypal...... but what you describe is rude and irresponsible IMHO. I always hear the "I have a life and don't live on the boards" excuse..... which is fine if you don't have a transaction in progress. I'd reverse the payment after 30 days and go PL. Seller may be doing hardship sales and actually really not be available due to something more pressing. Checking their recent posts can help you determine if they're ignoring your PM's..... if they are, I'd yank the paypal now. GOD BLESS.... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u Thanks Jimbo he hasn't posted on the forum in a month, so I don't think he is ignoring me. But I will look into reversing the payment if I dont hear anything next week.
  10. Any advice for the following situation? I paid for an item two weeks ago, but the seller hasnt read the two pm's I sent since payment (I've just followed up with a third). I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt, but I am a little concerned.
  11. I bought a stack of books from Mike, and they arrived super fast and awesomely packaged! Mike is an absolute pleasure to deal with, with great communication (thumbs u
  12. Tamir is a pleasure to deal with, with great prices, beautiful tightly graded books and some of the fastest international shipping I have ever seen on this forum! (thumbs u Awesome seller, buy with confidence!
  13. I think it looks quite charming, and pretty well made from the action sequences. It's funny how similar in tone it is to the SNL 'Black Widow Movie' skit recently, the adorkable girl who is unlucky in love, but I'm willing to give it a chance. I just wish DC would integrate it's tv shows with it's movies. That's what's so appealing about the MCU.
  14. Dublin, Ireland doesn't get much comic coverage either. The most memorable for me was Cassidy's origin story set in Dublin in Preacher.
  15. I am selling some Heavy Metal magazines on the forum if anyones interested Heavy Metal
  16. I kinda feel it's in bad taste that there is so much complaining about the shipping methods of the artist who created this sought after cover. People are going to be selling on his work for a profit, a lot more than he sold them for. Maybe give the guy a break, he's new to selling comics, and this particular comic wouldnt exist without his hard work and talent in the first place.
  17. I only ordered 2. One to keep, and maybe one to sell. I'm so basic
  18. I think he could be a good choice.
  19. Probably worth it for $30. If you're planning on re-selling, do it immediately. Yeah, they're running $40-60 on the bay which means they'll be back down to $20-30 by summer. Cool, I'll see if I can grab one later (thumbs u Knowing my luck they are probably all sold out by now though...
