  2. I drew my own little tribute to The Man
  3. Such sad news. He was the reason I got into comics, his enthusiasm and showmanship made Marvel comics fun and accessible. RIP Stan.

Scott Campbell, Paul Pope, Whilce Portacio, Michael Golden, Greg Hildebrandt, Dave Dorman, Greg Capullo, David Mack , Dave Johnson, David Finch , Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti, Steve McNiven, Tom King.
  5. I found a copy of Atari Force #3 in a bargain box in a local comic shop, and noticed what looked like a signature and "84" at the top of the cover. Does it look familiar to anyone? The issue is written by Gerry Conway and drawn by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez, but it looks nothing like their signatures. And the shape of the letters don't really correspond with anyone elses names who worked on that issue. I guess it could be just random writing, but it looks elegant enough to be a signature..
  6. I got Thurs, Fri and Sun tickets, I only had to wait a couple of minutes in the queue as soon as they went on sale, I was very surprised. I'm looking forward to it, my first American convention!
  7. Irish guy here! Dublin has some pretty decent comic shops, and they all have different strengths. Sub City - Has two locations, Dame Street and Mary Street. The Dame St. location is their main store. They have a huge amount of graphic novels and a good selection of silver/bronze/copper back issues. Forbidden Planet - Is located in Temple Bar, on the quays along the river Liffey. It's been recently renovated, and is probably the biggest comic store in the city now. They specialise in toys/merchandise and statues, they also have a huge selection of graphic novels, manga and the latest comics. It's worth a visit just for their huge display of statues and Hot Toys figures alone. Dublin City Comics - Are located on Capel Street, and a second location (3 minutes up the road) on Bolton Street. If you are a toy collector, they have a massive selection of old toys, transformers etc. They have a pretty decent selection of back issues too. Big Bang Comics - By far the best comic store in Dublin, from the city centre it's a 20 minute tram journey to the Dundrum shopping mall, and it's worth the journey. Huge selection of books, latest comics (not many back issues though), and a fantastic display of statues and original art. They often have signings in store, so check them out on Facebook. I haven't been to Comic Book Guys in Belfast. And there is another large Forbidden Planet there too. Also, theres a monthly comic mart in Dublin city centre organised by ComicBooks.ie , which sells CGC books and high value keys. Depending on when you are in town, it might worth checking out: https://www.comicbooks.ie/ Generally you won't find too much Silver Age in these stores (Sub City and Dublin City Comics would be your best bets), and if you do, they are often mid to low grade, and expensive. Also watch out for Pence variants! Enjoy your trip!
