  1. It wasn't too many lines, I always have it to hand in a portfolio as I wander around the cons, and if I notice someone who doesnt look busy I get them to sign it quickly. Less hassle that way It's always a good conversation starter too.
  2. Just got back from Thought Bubble in the UK. And I capped off my year of getting my dust jacket from the Taschen 75 Years Of Marvel signed by Marvel artists and writers. The book itself is a giant that weighs over 5 kilos, and would obviously be very awkward to get signed at conventions,so taking the dust jacket is a lot easier Here's everyone who signed it in 2016! Brian Bolland Howard Chaykin Humberto Ramos Marv Wolfman Mike Zeck Frank Cho Simone Bianchi Mark Buckingham Duncan Fegredo Gary Frank Alex Maleev Tom Palmer Sara Pichelli Esad Ribic Alex Saviuk Ryan Stegman John Totleben Scott Williams Mahmud Asrar Sean Phillips Cameron Stewart Adi Granov Kevin O'Neill John McCrea Lee Garbett Emanuela Lupacchino Bob Layton Greg Tocchini Declan Shalvey Jock Mike Mignola John Wagner Lee Bermejo Paul Azaceta Bengal Stephanie Hans Kevin Wada Kris Anka Yanick Paquette Ivan Brandon Philip Bond Vanesa R. Del Rey Si Spurrier The inside front cover is pretty much full, same with the spine, but the back cover is only half filled, and the flaps are empty too.
  3. Some vampires; Nosferatu & Cassidy from Preacher (RIP Steve Dillon)
  4. Todays Inktober effort, red ink this time Old Man Logan...
  5. I'm 100% in, been wanting a Maslany sig for ages Option 2, photo cover for me.
  6. I don't need to see another MJ with pasty white skin. she's not the first thing I would think of when I think Mary Jane, but at least she's attractive, which is much much more than I can say for Kirsten Dunst (who I think is a fine actor). I think a more integral part of MJ is that she will be a MODEL as an adult, a very attractive woman paired with a Peter Parker nerd. The charm of that type of relationship is much more important to me than race. Couldn't get it with Dunst because she wasn't objectively hot. Also, for those who have a problem with MJ casting, do you have the same problem with Aunt May suddenly turning Italian? Totally with you on Dunst, I never liked her as MJ. She was defintely more of a Gwen Stacey type imo. MJ needs to be vivacious, and I think Zendaya has that quality for sure.
  7. Nobody's comics are going to spontaneously combust when this film is released, she will still be 100% white in the comics for the people who really need that. The film is the film. Anyway, I think she's a good choice, I'd buy her as MJ:
  8. No. Anyone who even considers themselves an artist should attend at least one life drawing class in their lifetime. I review portfolios on a daily basis, I can usually tell by looking at someones work if they've had an art education or not. Even if you've never experienced any form of art education, you still need to be improving and practicing, and the only way to do that is learn from others, be that in a class room, in your social circles, in a book or on the internet. If you think you know it all, your art will stagnate.
  9. There is so much bad advice in this thread from Kav. Go to art school, it will make you a much better artist, and mixing with other students will be invaluable to your development as an artist. And of course Vienna itself will be an inspiration. Trust me on this. Good luck and have fun
