  1. My LCS has the Batman #40 Kubert variants for $30, does anyone think they are worth grabbing at that price?
  2. I think giving the benefit of the doubt is reasonable here, isn't it possible that the PM discussion included an immediate payment within those four minutes? Unless the seller has two browser windows open and is constantly refreshing both during a pm discussion, then it could be very likely that the first was just simply not seen until the pm discussion was concluded. And if it was a sale via PM, then the seller probably sold it for less than the BIN price anyway. Just my
  3. Maybe just give the guy a break, and let him get on with it. Him and his wife have to ship out 5000 copies of a comic book while he still has to continue his day job as an artist.
  4. The post-credit scene is immediately after the statue scene.
  5. I bought two more books from George, and again I am very happy! Expertly packaged, and very fast postage, with friendly communication. Highly recommended! (thumbs u
  6. I still think Von Sydow will be playing Obi Wan in some sort of ghost type cameo. They do quite look alike.
  7. I got mine from the guy who runs this comic shop: http://www.ltd-edition-comix.com/ As far as I know it's an exclusive for them, and the red is limited to 1500 copies. They are based in the UK. I didn't pre-order it through their website though, but through him directly on a Facebook group. But I guess they can be contacted via their website too.
  8. speaking of Miles Morales, I'm really liking these Legacy variants for Secret Wars #1... I've ordered a couple of the red variants myself.
  9. Yeah he emailed me yesterday saying he had kept mine back as he was heading to a con this weekend and would sort it out when he got back He said the same to me. Seems like a really nice guy
  10. 100% This. A work for hire, or contract artist or writer isn't going to create something for Disney or Warner Brothers unless they are directed to. Hence the need to diversify already existing superheroes. Those superheroes are already successful concepts. There's only so many super strong, flying or animal themed superheroes that readers will accept these days. Deadpool and Harley are recent exceptions because they have unique personality hooks, but the majority of new characters are usually met with a general 'meh' from readers.
  11. I didn't read him as Irish, but I guess it's possible. I always read Negan as a Garth Ennis character, Kirkman always made him read like Butcher from The Boys. That always jarred for me. He just doesn't speak like an American, he speaks like what Kirkman thinks a psycho Garth Ennis character would sound like. I always found that very weird, as if he didn't belong in the environment that Walking Dead is set in. And perfect choice with that actor by the way (thumbs u
  12. Because it's pretty much the first unique character created by the Marvel/Disney/Star Wars conglomerate themselves. That bodes very well that this character will now be a 'thing'.
  13. Jem and the holograms? Yep, the very same. It must be a hit with the cosplay crowd, and girls in general, especially for the nostalgia factor. It was shifting very quickly on ebay this morning too.
  14. Jem is flying off the shelves. Grabbed a couple of the variants, but that was all that was left in my LCS. The art is actually gorgeous.
  15. There are black Irish people though Like Ruth Negga, she would be an awesome Tulip imho: and then she was.... I think I'm onboard with this casting. She's good! She's got an "it" factor. + 1 nailed it!

  17. Awesome seller, great packaging, and great communication! A pleasure to deal with!
  18. I bought a bunch of X-Men books from Sean, and everything went very smoothly! Awesome communication, great packaging and a genuinely nice guy to deal with, buy with confidence! (thumbs u
  19. Here's my Neal Adams Expert Variant, signed by Neal & Stan
  20. Awesome seller, i bought a bunch of books and they all arrived in great condition buy with confidence!
  21. Children, young adults, parent, grandparents will relate to Peter Parker as Spider-Man because that's who has been Spider-Man for their entire lives. Interest waned in the ASM movies because they stunk, that's all really. Look at the pre-Nolan Batman movies. They were horrible and there wasn't even a thought of having someone other than Bruce Wayne as Batman in the later films. I hope UF4 keeps going up, I'm still finding them in the wild for cover price or less Children, not grandparents, are the demographic Disney and Marvel care about and want to cultivate. Miles Morales is already in the cartoon series, he is popular with kids, and gaining more and more momentum. For all intents and purposes Peter Parker the comic book character is a thirty something married guy, his appeal as an awkward teenager who gained superpowers has been diluted over the years, and the movies have proved that this trope is well and truly played out. Bruce Wayne & Clark Kent are timeless simply because they started their comic lives as fully fledged adults. Peter Parker has been forced to grow into adulthood in a span of decades in comic books which has been an awkward process at times. Miles is a fresh take on a tired character. The Spider-Man costume is the draw here, not what the name of the character is beneath the hood. I literally disagree with every single thing in this post. (thumbs u -J.
