I just acquired a nice FF run 118-188, plus Giant Size 3-6 and King Size Special #10. Any keys in this run? Not any that jump out at me. Thanks.

Just made my first big collection purchase after getting back into the hobby about a year ago. This came from Craigslist. A nice 63 year old guy that was downsizing his house and everything else. About 10 minutes from my house. Quite an eclectic collection (probably every Man Thing ever produced for example), he purchased everything off the rack, no subscriptions as most of my original collection was obtained. Extended runs of Spidey, Daredevil, FF. Tons of Marvel Team Up, Two in One, etc. As you can see, a solid low to mid grade collection not properly stored. Can you say spine roll? On to the highlights. Lots of DC as well which I still need to go through and educate myself on! [/img] [/img] [/img]

What a great thread, thanks for all the great feedback. I recently "re-discovered" my bronze collection of about 500 books, and then just bought a silver and bronze collection of another 500 books! Only of which about a dozen are in bags and boards, and I have no idea what kind. So I am looking for an economical way to bag and board (and box) approx. 1,000 books. From what I have read here, the Mylites 2 775M2 is the best option for these silver and bronze books. But would you use these for all the books, even the "commons"? Or would you just use the 775M2's for the more valuable books and a cheaper bag for everything else? If so, best alternatives? Thanks in advance!

Well, I only have 111 (MVS intact!) and 131. Have 104 and 106 but no 105 (Grrrrr). Sorry no 86 or 159. I do have 107 and 132 but didn't scan those. I also have 58, 70, 74, and 80 which I did not list in the range. Also Annuals #2 and 4. Thanks for the knowledge! [/img]

Craigslist find. Low grade but some fun stuff for only $20. In true Craigslist fashion transaction took about a month to complete. There were no pictures in the CL post and Iron Man #1 and #39 were listed. Guess what I was thinking / hoping???

I disagree the two GSXM wasn't the best part!

Bought off the rack as a 9 year old. Loved it and ordered a subscription. Have the entire run except for #3. I remember being disappointed when they canceled Nova.

Mine came via subscription as 12 year old in 1979. Read once and put away.

Hey everyone, been lurking for a couple months and finally joined. I just "re-discovered" my comics a couple months ago as well. I was born in 1966 and began collecting is 1977. As my user name gives away, I was always a big Marvel fan. Nothing against DC, just always liked Marvel better. I had a cool, older next door neighbor that gave me a stack of ASM's to read and I was hooked! I still remember buying my first comic, ASM 169. Then bought a subscription, then got into and subscribed to Avengers, Iron Man, Captain America, and Nova. I guess I was one of the only 3 people that really liked Nova, I have all (except #3 for some reason ) 25 issues. (I think there are 25). I remember being so disappointed with the notice they were cancelling Nova. Anyway, I discovered I have some pretty nice books in pretty good condition, and am considering sending some in for grading. Some of my keys.. ASM 41, 194, 238, 252 Nova 1 Ms. Marvel 1 Plus quite a few more, but those are some of the big ones after reading these boards for the past few months. I'll try to fire up my scanner and post some pics, maybe in the Please Grade My Book section. I'm amazed by the knowledge of some of the folks on this board and I enjoy taking a look daily!
