  5. About me: this is my first sale on the boards but I have been selling successfully on EBay for years. Here is a link to my feedback as a seller: https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=ofallonite&ftab=FeedbackAsSeller&ftabfocus=true&searchInterval=30 Rules of this sale: No HOSers or probies First “I’ll take it” trumps any PM negotiations. Shipping is on me and will be through USPS Priority Mail, insured, registered with signature confirmation to CONUS. For shipping to Canada please contact me for quote. No overseas shipping. No returns since this is a graded book. Payment by PayPal, check (must clear first), bank wire, or money order. Unfortunately I do not have an adequate scanner for slabbed books so please let me know if you need additional pics. The slab is in great shape with no cracks or scratches. It is very shiny and the pics are hard to get without a glare. Pressing history unknown. Grader notes (verbatim): -heavy creasing to cover -medium tape pull left top of front cover -small, multiple tear cover Thanks for looking!
  6. That's an incredible collection Bill. You hit the lottery with your inheritance!
  7. OK. Need to turn on the squeaky scanner and spend an hour doing it but will do soon.
  8. I love this thread. The 176-180 run came in my first year subscription of ASM at age 11 in 1978. Couldn't wait to get the next issue each month. I absolutely loved comics and especially Spidey at that time. This is bringing back some great memories. And yes, I still have them!
  9. I must have been one of the 10-20 people who liked Nova. I bought the first issue and immediately ordered a subscription. I remember being bummed out when issue #25 arrived and it said "He's gone! The Human Rocket". Still have all 25 issues!
  10. It is completely idiotic that this was assigned a number grade....
  11. RIP Stan. Many fond memories of my childhood owed to you.
  12. My goal the last 3-4 years has been to fine a IH 181 and/ or GSXM 1 in the wild. Neither accomplished yet, still trying!
  13. I tried Dr. Strange but couldn't do it. Made it about halfway through.
  14. With a lot of talk about MSH 13 it sounds like we need a club! My copy is not worthy enough to start it, however....
  15. When I was 10 in 1976 our next door neighbor gave me a huge stack of his ASM's to read. Probably issues 80-160 or so. I was hooked. Started buying off the rack and then a few months later I ordered an ASM subscription. Still remember getting my first ish, #169. Then added subscriptions to Avengers, Cap, Iron Man, Nova. So while I bought a few DC off the rack (mainly Batman) it was almost exclusively Marvel for me, mainly from the comics the neighbor loaned me. He had thousands of others as well. He was a young air force officer and moved after a few years. Still wonder what became of him and his collection!
  16. Thanks. I did have some concern on the condition and lower quality pics, but man what a cool grouping of books. Two of my bronze grails in GSXM 1 and IM 55. But you're right, some of the best deals are the ones you don't do!
  17. All I do is....lose. I was the underbidder on this auction https://www.ebay.com/itm/24-Marvel-comics-first-appearance-lot-GIANT-SIZE-XMEN-IRON-MAN-55-XMEN-12/162960093929?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
  18. Sorry to hear about this, but their is no "spirit of the agreement" when it comes to contract law. Only what is in black and white.
  19. Yep, ivegotneatstuff, you should send him a link to this thread!
  20. Went from a .99 no reserve auction to a $6,000 BIN....
