I have completed ASM 100-252. 169-252 was from a subscription I had as a lad, with a few before 169 at that time (no keys). I acquired the rest about 35 years later in adulthood!

Pretty cool seeing this price list. I ordered some books from Mile High back in the day. Had to pay $2.00 for some of those Avengers to get my run back to issue #150. had no idea about first appearances back then.

I did preview the book and took the pic. I did talk to the owner (nice guy) and he said he bought in 1961. I was an unsuccessful bidder. Went for $8,250. Way too high I thought. Thanks all for your input on the book.

Harder for me to tell with pics of a darker cover such as this but looks like a solid 3.0 to me. maybe 3.5.

I would also be in the 3.0-3.5 camp. I doubt it on the CT, not sure why he would only do that little area and not more of the crease, especially the purple. The Paul Kelly is a big turn off for me for what it's worth...

Not glued and does not affect splash page. Back is really nice.

Sorry, I only have this pic at the moment. Structurally very sound book, I see no Marvel Chipping. The main reason I am posting is the defect in the middle where the Torch's flame turns from orange to yellow. There is a depression and a tear in the area. Again, sorry if it is hard to see but any opinions are appreciated!

I'm not sure. That's why I considered it without the overspray. Looks like a nice book.

I'm thinking higher. 7.5-8.0 without taking the overspray into account.

My story about this comic: I had a subscription to ASM from issue 169 to 251 (or so I thought) from age 10-17. When I "re-discovered" my comics about 5 years ago I had made a list that was on top of ASM stack that ended in #251. Then I discovered 252 was a minor key and thought "well, that sucks", but after digging in I found there was in fact a 252 at the bottom of the pile! Since it was on the bottom (and not bagged and boarded) the top left corner is a little soft but other than that it's in great shape and I was excited to find it! It is my one and final ASM copy!

My final bump allowed. So I figured a price drop is in order. And the 90 day GPA went down a little even though there were no transactions....Thanks for looking.

Wow! I have no idea if it's real or not, but at first view it looks OK to me. Quite a find if it's legit. It would definitely benefit from a clean and press. That big bend in the upper left can be improved on. Not sure about the water stain on the back though. As presented I would call it a 5.0-5.5. Maybe 1.5-2.0 point bump with a clean and press?
