  1. Only slightly. I think in hand it'd been easier for me to give it a 9.8. But I'm ok with my score on that one woot
  2. I 100% blew that one. Gave it a 8.0 I think for what I called a crease along the top edge, but turns out its just a super fugly printers crease Buy your comics from me, everyone!
  3. what are the teams? Who am I going to get crushed by? I need to prepare my soul
  4. yeah that's what I almost talked myself into calling it, and it's a good example to remember for later. I decided it was damage and blew it!
  5. oh man lol, I need to sharpen up! Is there not a two inch crease at the top edge of that Avengers book? Well I was only miles off on that one, but only one bullseye and only a couple others within a half grade. ouch oh no oh no oh nonono
  6. I'm not upset! I hope my post didn't come across that way. I also forgot that all the covers are listed on the slab. Just ignore me.
  7. Grades are in! I don't like the double cover thing. We cannot see all the covers, and the overall grade given by CGC is based on the highest graded cover if there are more than one. In this case, if CGC actually did somehow miss this was a double cover and the slab grade is based on the condition of the outer cover then ok. But if its just a misprinted label and the graders did in fact take into account the double cover, how can we grade the book accurately? Hmm? HMMM??!?!?!#/ ap;skldjflasdjasdkfja hehe anyway, it's all fun . looking forward to seeing how badly I botched the seeding round books!
  8. Currently have around 1300 comics and magazines. Small but mighty
  9. In for a prize of course, been so focused on IRL hadn't even thought about this stuff until I just saw the thread! Let's go, peoples!
  10. Long time no see! So I recently made the decision to only focus on X-Men #1- 144. I've sold off everything above that, keys and all. Eventually I'll pick up the keys again, but I needed the space and when the time comes if I decided i want a full vol 1 run, it won't be that big of a chore to get one. I also spent all of last year very much not focused on completing this quest. I added a book or two here and there, but got sidetracked on a regular basis. For example, I bought a short box of Thor that was almost a complete run of his solo title up to about #256 and instead of filling holes in my X-Men run, I filled some holes in that run. And my Hulk run. And then I got into horror mags... oof But I think it's time to focus hard again on the X-Men. The new plan is to cut way back on buying this year, sell some stuff, save up, and look for a nice presenting lower grade #1. Something between a 2.0 and a 3.5. I hope to find a raw copy, but yeah good luck with that. Then I'll work on the next biggest key I'm missing and so on. I'll still grab filler issues if I find great deals on them. Here are the books I did add since my last update! 23, 37, 40, 41, 43, 44, 48, 50, 61, 63, 94, 99, 100, 110, 112, 113, 115, 124, 128, 142 And here is the updated missing list: 1-14, 16-21, 24-26, 28-31, 33-35, 39, 42, 46, 47, 49, 51-53, 55-59, 62, 64-92 95-97, 102, 103, 106, 107, 109, 111, 114, 122, 131, 132, 133, 136
  11. I should learn to stay out of these threads. Every time I convince myself to refocus my collecting...
  12. With cases growing in the New York City are, and East Coast Comic Con two months away, probably safe to put it on the clock as well. Might be a good year to just save up and get ready for the sweet deals on books next year. Or late this year if the big shows then go on as planned.
  13. yeah those were a couple of pretty perfect looking copies. I'd imagine it'd be really tough to find better. Nice grabs!
