  1. This one takes us back to a two-for auction, with an IH 181 CGC graded 7.0 qualified. I will attach photos for this listing. I want you to pay close attention to the top right corner - that horizonotal colour break. And that vertical break that runs parallel to the spine, starting from the arrow, down Wolvie's forearm. I know the pics arent the greatest, but you should at least see those characteristics well enough to compare to the other.
  2. Well, I don't know if we are ready for this mystery to become even more complicated, but I'm pretty sure I found another one. This one is a big time head scratcher. Allow me to post in sequence please as there is a lot I want to show, the before pic (the one I'm asking for clearer pics) shows just enough to make the connection, it's the other part that is going to complicate the heck out of this. Grab your popcorn and brace yourselves for this...
  3. I think I may have found another... just waiting for a clearer pic, but it's looking to be the same thing, green to blue
  4. Can someone post a clear front and back pic of the following s/n: 1309487005 I'm trying to see if it matches with another of these I should point out, I have a pic of it off Worthpoint, but it's too blurry to compare
  5. Look man, you don't need to respond to any of this back and forth either. And the only reason I quoted it is because I think it's an important enough point of emphasis that needs to be disproven, as it becomes an afront to the work/input/analysis people have put into this when you generalize the way you have. There's no mob, but don't just suggest we are doing this to see them fail. A more responsibly handled approach to something like this is the company begins to make swift moves to limit the acrtivites of this seller. To take those slabs out of circulation. And to issue an announcement on corrective remedies to arrest this. Part of the reason why it's wrong to suggest we want to see them fail is because of the amount of volunteer time any of us put into doing what we do. Deliberate or not, CGC has developed a fact pattern to commodify and depend on US doing the grunt/detective work that leads to these revelations in deviation from standard practice and service.
  6. Some of us just expect them to own the responsibilities, and take accountability, for the self-appoiinted role of third-party grader. We lost the impartialtiy a LONG time ago, but there is still a duty to deliver on other aspects of their service. To lump us all as wanting to see them fail is a gross misrepresentation of the facts, and a false equivalence. I was speaking to someone yesterday about this very thing. I have PM's from people on multiple soc med sites, lamenting about "issues" with graders. Many, sending multiple messages, ranging from the way the services "mishandles" and/or "misrepresent" what is ultimately being delivered to them. Every time I ask, "hey, has this issue caused you to possibly reconsider ever sending in your stuff to grade?" Do I even need to tell you what 99% of the response is? So, in sum, to many of us, myself included, there is a tiring movie reel, worse than the predictable plot or rerun, and that is that these services undeservedly enrich themselves by delivering sub-par services. Maybe we just want them to do what they are supposed to do, without the lamest and weakest excuses imaginable that are used to allow them to get away with what they have for as long as they have.
  7. That wouldn't make any sense since they are keeping-up this thread. It's probably got something to do with panic of the reputation shiner CGC is taking from this impacting the worth of their collections or inventory. The weak sauce we've come to expect from those too invested to use this as a learning moment or the ephipany they need.
  8. Nope. And that's another thing the YouTuber doing the heavy lifting of analysis and info from here is perpetuating as "his" theory/discovery.
  9. 100% he's deleting them himself, because on one of the comments, I tried to make a small edit (spelling mistake) and when I tried to save it, it was gone.
  10. Only the YouTube account holder has that control over comments. These posts are disappearing minutes after they are made, so he's humping the delete button. No question about it.
  11. The account I have is one I use for metal detecting (MD). You know right away who in that hobby does it for the wrong reasons by this very action you are speaking of. Usually, it's because they are taking money from some MD maker, reseller or dealer. When you catch them spewing nonsense, or covering stuff up, you try to call it out for what it is, and BAMM, this is how they control the narrative. Weaker than bad operators gaming a grader in my opinion, because everything that comes out of their mouth after that can't be trusted. And FWIW, I posted on the Swaggle guys YouTube post also, same thing happened. Fool me once...
  12. 100%. I really didn't give a mess about the likes, it's the same pattern on all soc med. What bothered me even more is that he was using the analysis from these forums and taking credit for it. Even yesterday, when I posted those screenshots, I asked for someone to post a clearer image than what I was able to pull out from WP. It took several members here to both provide images, and better juxtapoisitioning for comparison. There were still people chiming-in saying they weren't the same book, and because of all of us doing our part, it was clear as day they were the same. At that point, it's ours. However, when I see him using perspectives shared on here of how this is possibly happening, that's the last straw. And him responding that he didn't delete my comments is pure bs when I keep showing he's doing it with screenshots of my replies that keep getting removed. The latest speaks on why it ultimately should be called out for what it is:
  13. Thanks man, I figured by sending info to these guys, it would show there's a bit of community effort involved in such an undertaking. I took him to task, makes his replies (two) and then deletes my attempt to respond. The second one has been posted twice, and both times vaporized. Posting for posterity:
  14. The community doesn't really need more drama, but I posted on this YouTuber's previous video after I made the green to blue IH 181 find. Gave him a direct link to the forums, and in this new video, he found it? As I'm listening to the video, he's going through and iterating what's been discussed here, and making the analysis his own. Wow!
  15. This is a timely post. I've never tried using a keyword of the seller on worthpoint, but that would mean he would have had to put his seller name in the description. But searching on a slogan is definitely something I hadn't thought possible. I'm going to jump on and see what I can find. UPDATE: Weird, I'm not getting any results
  16. That tick just underneath the marquee is what made me look closer. The thumbnails on WP are not as smooth as eBay, you have to click the listing, then once you're in there, you have to do a little tinkering to get the full-size image because it wants to resize everything. But I figured it was easier to notice the staple, that's a very distinctive trait. Once the higher res shot was posted, it was possible to compare the fronts better, also for some reason the images come out blurry on WP sometimes.
  17. 100% the same book. Look at the spine ticks and wear on the very top right edge and bottom lower edges. Exact same book. Kudos to @Christophe9999 as I saw this in the WP post, but couldn't get as high a res pic as @mephistopheles was able to post
  18. But if you click that link in the results for the IH 181 or any of his sold listings it shows Comic Select
