  1. Sold on eBay, mistakenly listed as a 9.6, but is actually a 9.4 ASM 238 - need a good clear pic, and the ones on worthpoint are too blurry
  2. Can someone check for clear pics on certification number 4108422002 ASM 238 - Sold for $999 on Apr 2, 2023
  3. Taking a break, from my last look, I compiled 6 Hulk 181's, I sent it off the compilation of links @THE_BEYONDER to double-check, and to organize if we decide to go the direction of starting a new post consolidating it all.
  4. @Stefan_W - @WestcoastDAVEngers's tell is also a good clincher, check back and you'll see they are an exact match. Unfortunately, we are confined to whatever images are available, and sometimes there's certain characteristics which I only see after better pics get posted. The one above is one of them (beyond the stain). I do think though that some of the things you raise are noteworthy for a much later discussion, as I'm noticed defects which weren't visible in the before, and this was something I was hoping to expand on after I do the heavy lifting of finding swaps.
  5. @THE_BEYONDER I think I might be incorrect, I counted 6. I'm going to send you a PM with all the links, and you can confirm, and use them to compile. Might be a little easier than wading through this all. The ones I began today are formatted to two links for each discovery, the ones previous have more links.
  6. That's the sixth I just posted Update: Here is the summary of all six in a chart and with direct links to each certification comparison, as well as original auciton listing and images.
  7. Updated pics show the wear on the spine really well now on the green label 6.5 for better comparison. It's the exact same book.
  8. Have a look at the post now, updated it with better front pic from @WestcoastDAVEngers, you can see the exact same iregular shape tick on the spine by the black arrow. It's the exact same comic.
  9. Sorry everyone, the WEBP format just throws everything off kilter, I've got so much stuff open on my screen that if I have to use an WEBP converter, it just bogs everything down. I've cleaned-up any issues with previous posts. On to the data dive. Big thanks to everyone for your patience and help in getting this all presented in a concise manner.
  10. That's it! Nice job!! Will replace and drop you're tag as contributor for clearer pics. Thank-you!
  11. Most noticeable characteristics to ascertain exact match, same wrap, same spine ticks, crimped corners, but they are very difficult to pick-up for the blurry scans available to me on WP. I wasn't even able to pull a certificaiton date off it initially and needed to jump on another source to mine it based on the grade, sold date and amount. The one clincher for me is the soiling pattern (could be large foxing blotch) but it is not only in the exact same upper right corner location, but the outline is 100% exact. Again, it will be difficult to see it on the qualified example pics, but look at the blue label back cover pic and then the qualified, and you will see it's an exact match. 4089133002 - CGC Qualified 6.5 - Hulk 1818 - Sold Nov 7, 2022 - $3000 (GD: 08/01/2022) Mad props to @WestcoastDAVEngers and @mephistopheles - the cleare/better pics really help match this! 4146028001 - CGC Universal 7.0 - Hulk 181 - Sold Feb 6, 2023 - $5100 (GD: 10/27/2022)
  12. Yet another Hulk 181 Green to Blue, this time it's a Qualified 6.5 that became a Universal 7.0. Beginning first with the certifications screenshots, post with sold dates for each to follow this one: 4089133002 - CGC Qualifed 6.5 - Hulk 181 Became ↳ 4146028001 - CGC Universal 7.0 - Hulk 181 NOTE: @mephistopheles or anyone that is able to mine better pics for 4089133002 - Qualified 6.5 Hulk 181 sold Nov 7th, 2022 - $3000 - please post them and tag me. I'll replace them with the ones I've got for the time being.
  13. Another pending, I need better pics, but I'm 99.9% sure it's the same book. I'll spend the extra time to mine what I need, but I think it's necessary to have the complete picture. Perhaps an assist from a mod to be able to go in an edit the first post to drop in others as new ones come in, but for now, even if someone creates a log of the link directly to that post in a personal word doc or excell spreadsheet, with a brief description of what that link goes to (i.e. Qualfied 7.0 to Universal 8.5 Incredible Hulk 181), then this will be useful. I'm not even 1/8th of the way through the data, there will be others. The Hulk 181's are just easier for my mind to process with all the data and listings to wade through, I'll be exploring others from the list, and there's a lot.
  14. Very likely during reholder, custom label, kept the original grade date. But I'm not 100% on this because there's something about this that screams backstage access. Even in the latter case, the intent would be to mimic that process to ward off suspicion. I've got a mountain of data to run through, but this is how I'm trying to untangle some of that confusion. Haven't really properly sat down to think this through yet, leaving that to the great work the boardies have been providing. On this point, I'd love if someone could create even a log at the moment of points in this thread where I've shown the green to blue for IH 181, and get a permalink for each of those (4 at the moment). I have a feeling there's going to be quite a few more to come, and I'd like to consolidate them all, perhaps either in a comment or another post showing these exact examples to help people navigate them better, and wade through these 130+ pages. Thanks!
  15. Most noticeable characteristics to ascertain exact match, same wrap, same spine ticks, particularly by Wolvie's forearm, there is a diagonal crease that travels from the spine in a diagonally downward direction by the fist area, vertifical colour break running just above the D in Incredible to the MCG banner, crimped top right corner with diagonal colour break. Red pen mark (resembling a cursive handwritten m) on back cover. 4155507003 - CGC Qualified 6.0 - Hulk 1818 - Sold Feb 13, 2023 - $2750 (GD: 11/16/2022) 4120217003 - CGC Universal 6.5 - Hulk 181 - Sold Apr 11, 2023 - $4216 (GD: 09/06/2022)

  17. Just to give a little context to why I'm focusing on IH 181's. At the moment, I've got to go through a tonne of listings, using a very predefiined pattern because it's produced the most accelerated results. That is, searching for certain patterns in the origin data set of this seller. Then determining potential bump possibilities, and of course the monetary reward, time period possibilities. I'm working with things such as alignment, wrap, and distinguishing characteristics I can scan from a thumbnail, and if I see even a slight hint of a confluence of these, I dig deep. The ratio is looking like having to go through anywhere from 50-75 listings to sometimes figure out the possibility he may have sourced the book elsewhere or raw. I haven't even touched any of the other key books yet. I will, there is a rythmic process of gridding and triangulating in the above techniques which is helping to accelerate an otherwise time intensive and labourious process. I'm explaining this to give the boardies that insight, to say I agree with your overall assessment, and also because this is why CGC would rather have us do the grunt work for them. Now let's get on with the next match...

  21. Here's what's coming. 778 records for briva3 between 2/12/17 - 12/19/23 to comb through. I have my finest comb set aside. Please be patient as I've just really begun to understand the need to arrange the data so it has the greatest impact, clarify and significance. Because of the span of time, we will not be afforded the opportunity to have certification scans for everything. For this reason, I'm going to return to the first IH 181 9.0 I found. But in doing so, I'm going to begin at the point of origin as well, and you'll soon understand why this is critical to present in this manner, because this isn't a discovery process to only determine what was done, and the extent, but the way it invalidates the data as it's been recorded by CGC as well. So let's jump into it, beginning with the certificaiton screenshot for the Qualified CGC 8.5 (4283015003) IH 181, which includes the original scans, and how the qualified 8.5 become the scans for the Universal CGC 9.0 (4265040003) IH 181. 4283015003 IH 181 CGC 8.5 Became: ↳ 4265040003 - IH 181 CGC 9.0
