  1. I didn’t win the EQII but I expected it to land in the 7-10k range. General prices on Graciano work (non MTG) are typically 3-7k from what I have seen. For EQII, I would think higher.
  2. I’m not sure if the EQII screen was used, but I definitely feel the final price underperformed. A few bargains to be found. I’m happy with my result.
  3. What is Cyborg doing..? Does he have a question?!?
  4. Got crushed in this latest auction. Looking forward to TGS24 (The Great Softening of 2024)

    Archival tape

    Thanks everyone for their suggestions
  6. Does anyone have any experience with archival tape and the best products for use with comic art, particularly for DPS?
  7. 556 sales. 10 pieces above 10k. Approximately 75% were 1k and under.
  8. I originally spotted it many years ago when Enrico was showcasing a lot of Comolo art. Unfortunately it had already sold.
  9. I was searching for a piece - not the grail - but near the top, and found it. Absolutely affordable and very reasonably priced. I bought it immediately and have been super happy since. Patience is definitely a virtue in this hobby.
  10. I agree with Rick. Fedex is the best option. UPS from my experience has not been positive. I highly recommend anyone using Collectibles Insurance to familiarize themselves with the terms (fine print) on shipping with the various agencies.
  11. I have the Gelatinous Cube from Monster Manual 2nd edition, plus a bunch of other monsters, and a Ravenloft cover prelim. Here's the cube, and I will take a look for some more scans.
  12. The art is from Dark Reign: The Cabal
  13. Yes, in the USA. Heritage was the big *winner* with several weeks for delivery, far exceeding the time to get items that were shipping from the EU to USA. They did send out a notification saying they were behind, but my experience with their shipping speed has not been great at the best of times.
  14. My recent art purchases from the EU to US have all been very good, and the sellers were great! Italy - 4 days, Germany - 3 days, Spain - 2 weeks, Netherlands - under 1 week. Regarding the auction, avoid the wire transfer at all costs. You will have zero recourse if anything goes wrong. Like it was mentioned earlier, the pain and frustration of dealing with the lost/damaged/never sent art far exceeds the $$$.
  15. Add in John Wick, Stranger Things and Silence of the Lambs references to the description and it is a 5 digit page for sure.... $$$$$
  16. Great pick up Isn't that Dracula in the middle of the page in his coffin?
  17. The covers to those issues are sold and in a permanent collection. I picked up some of his non Iron Man art over ten years ago, but have never successfully got in touch with him.
  18. Yes, its Gary Land who's been in this hobby for a long time. I bought a cover from him a while back. All good.
  19. And a deal isn't closed until you're holding the artwork in your hands and you're happy with it. Anything less than that can disappear in a heartbeat.
  20. Ironically I tried to buy that same cover, several years earlier, but it had sold.
  21. Maybe there needs to be a thread titled "Moments of Shame" where we collectors reveal our biggest purchasing mistakes or where we have been duped..
  22. That costume looks great. Here's the gelatinous cube illustration from second edition
  23. Have you tried the reverse side of the trading cards? Some of them have one or more small images with a description.
  24. If you are going to frame the art and put it on the wall, pencils and inks can make a *huge* difference. Pencil pieces can become invisible in brightly lit rooms, and end up looking like a blank page in a frame. In a folio, it's different of course, so you need to factor that into the equation. In the end it comes back to the simple mantra "buy what you like" and if you want it, bid to win.
