Just an FYI - About 20 years ago, a lot of second edition art was dropped on ebay. Lots of Monster Manual and Players Handbook art, maybe 100 pieces total. All long gone and I haven't seen any since. Prices were relatively high back then, with some going at the comic art cover level. I picked up the gelatinous cube, an all-time classic, amongst others. Competition was tough on that one.

Having purchased comic and other art from different European art auctions and houses and then shipping to the US, the "rules" vary dramatically. Shipping is a small part of a much bigger equation that can involve exchange rates, fees, commissions, fees on exchange rates, wire fees, credit card fees, international bidder fees and even VAT, regardless of whether you think it should (or really does) apply or not. For shippers, I recommend Fedex or DHL international - if those options are available to you through the auction house. I highly recommend reading the fine print and even going so far as to confirm with them directly.

Cleaning and dusting all those statues would be a nightmare...!

I buy from them somewhat regularly (several times this year already). Their communication is generally good and prompt and I have always received the artwork I purchased. As it is only been a week I wouldn't concern yourself too much.
