Who is this working on? Why would someone ever sell for less to a museum?

Despite having a spite business and never having sold art, I never got this. Don't think I've gotten a sob story but if someone wanted to buy my hammer, computer, or car I would never care why, it would all come down to if I could replace it and get something better and this is for purely functional items that can be replaced, not one of a kind things with nostalgic or artistic value to me. Especially something I actively didn't want to sell. If I had a better one lined up where I was trading up, maybe.

Well, the reps job is to get the artist the most they can. Sometimes the artist wants even more. I recently offered a rep (happens to be at Como) cash for some art by an artist that had been for sale for years. He said the artist was taking everything down and tripling prices, and he wasn't happy about it because if it doesn't sell and just sits there he doesn't make anything either.

I've heard that, don't know that I ever saw it. Dark Knight Golden Child art by Grampa was offered at similar prices. Don't know what sold. Fall Sunrise had high prices and immediate sell out. I wonder how long it actually took. 10 min? Felix was really quick with some of the "sorry, already claimed" emails. I went for a DPS and panel page.

Publicly. I can't imagine who else would command that much. I think some new Miller covers were offered for that much? A horrific Thing & Spidey.

I'm seeing 14,400 new artworks but not a way to discard them. Only about 30-50 are truly new.

I don't have a store or restaurant but I know my property taxes were up 30% last year and insurance was up 50%. I got a competing quote for insurance that was 200% more than the last year (or 3x). Residential rent here was up 30+%. I don't know if stores/retail saw the same increases but I know I'm being gouged. Dunno how regular people can keep up with that. It's totally unsustainable.

Seemed like things were all over the place. Some stuff was high (XO BWS cover), other stuff didn't seem as crazy. I'm super happy to finally pick up a Ron Lim Captain America splash!
