  1. CAT continues to be indispensable. Thank you again! I've noticed that some of the HA auctions like the international ones have a 25% BP instead of the usual 20%: https://comics.ha.com/c/auction-home.zx?saleNo=7344&ic=breadcrumb-comics-121913-interior CAT seems to show the prices under tracked art as having a 20% BP, so it's slightly off. Also under tracked art for these HA auctions, "active 03/13/2023" when the actual item's end date is 3/11. The full auction ends from 3/10 to 3/12 so if you're following along in tracked art and not going to HA you may miss an auction.

  3. (Marvel 1602 #7 cover prelim) STILL On the lookout for (mostly) Thor and potentially other Marvel covers by Coipel or Ribic. Ron Lim, Bachalo, McNiven (Wolverine), Jim Lee, Silvestri, Keown, Buscema (Wolverine), BWS, Jeff Purves (Hulk), Bagley (Amazing or Ultimate). Daredevil Maleev covers. Quesada Daredevil or Wolverine. McGuinness Hulk or Avengers covers. Kirby (early, mid period like Captain America or Thor) panel pages. I'm not interested in commissions or color guides, DC, or other unpublished work. I am aware of what's on Heritage, Comic Link, ComicConnect, Hakes, eBay, and Comic Art Tracker.
  4. I hear you, but don't be mad they're being honest. Like we see in the flip thread, normal dealers are 2-3x. And some items end up being 10x. Not that I like it, I just think these threads keep people informed.
  5. I mean, there's a lot of junk out there as far as TV shows, movies, books, music, comics. I'm not interested in these as a whole, I want the top %. Only the best stuff that resonates with me.

  7. It would be easy to filter out your own art, so I assume the ones running the voting want to leave that ability in. No, I didn't vote for my own.
  8. That's awesome! Kind of a prototype for Buscema's Wolverine run.
  9. I swear that wasn't there when I voted! I did notice the preview if you clicked, but that was a bit slow with the huge number of entries.
  10. So much art, and so many different tastes and eras. I saw some things I'd missed during the year and left comments. The only thing I can think to do would be to segment by decades. It might help if artist and title were listed in each. Since some pages, mostly panels, are hard to gauge by the small preview. If I could see the artist, I'd know to deep dive. Or maybe something like Heritage, where when you hover over an image it gives you a larger preview?

  12. I believe that was on consignment. So they lost a bit, but not too much.

  14. It's all relative. Swim at the depth level you're comfy with. I love the cheaper nostalgic stuff I got earlier. Also love the newer "better" artistically stuff I've gotten later. I guess I'm a quality/value collector. It has to be the right page at the right price. I don't want to overpay for something average, but something I love I have no problem overpaying for. I've never sold/traded anything so far and have no intentions of, but maybe that will change. If prices dropped out I might regret not being able to get more but I get what I love so I dunno. It's one of a kind stuff so you might not get it later.
  15. I got this Quitely/Morales/Morrison New X-Men page with Jean Grey and Emma Frost a few weeks ago. https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1861156
  16. I like seeing what people got, I hope they enjoy seeing what I have. I try to post everything. I agree it's cool to know what still exists out there!
