  1. SOLD! Got a little time so thought I'd post a few more... Amazing Mysteries #33 July 1949 Marvel Pubs Continuation of numbering from Human Torch. Scarce, first Marvel Horror title? A lower grade but complete copy. Has a couple of tiny edge pieces out of covers. Book has seen some water. Staples are rusty with migration to center and a few stains. Centerfold detached at bottom staple. Cover still attached at top staple. Nice interior paper. Decent filler until you can ponyup for a nice copy. WAS $120. Now $100.
  2. Wow, very sad. A very talented artist and a heck of a nice guy. I had the pleasure of spending a little time with him at SDCC a few years ago. Very friendly and funny. Told me a few funny stories and signed a couple of my books. Another great one has passed. RIP sir! By, the way, there is a Kintsler thread over in GA. This should be posted there as well...

  4. That could be true, I never noticed. Any difference between the two?
  5. Was in my shop one time when a pretty young and well endowed girl came in and flashed her goodies just out of the blue and walked out...
  6. First off, the book sucked so you didn’t miss much... But, that aside, very poor business practice on their end. Very short term gain for a long term potential. No wonder comic stores are folding.
  7. I read on Instagram that A-1 Comics had a very high grade New Mutants #98 stolen from one of their stores. They have his mug clearly on camera. Between stores and convention dealers, this has become an all to common occurrence. Very sad that our hobby has come to this...
  8. Jeeze Ritchie, another oil well just come in?...
  9. Is it just me or does it seem like there are a lot of copies of this one floating around? One of my favorite Cole romance books but I had no hard time finding it with my choice of grades and prices.
  10. Not me Cat... It’s been 4 years for me after a 40+ year run. WAY to expensive and WAY too much hassle. It has just evolved way to far away from it’s former glory for me. First year I passed, I missed it a lot. Not so much anymore. I will be going to the more comic book related Torpedo show in LA the week before. Cheap, easy and everything I want in a “Comic Con”. Besides, I get the opportunity to pick all the major dealers stock before it gets to SDCC!
  11. Norrin’s Rustles off the Comic Book Corral. Thanks Greg, I kinda figured you’d be the kind of guy that would like this!
  12. OK, that it for today. I humbly drop the mike... Back tomorrow with another pile of junk!
  13. SOLD! Rangers #14 Dec 1943 Friction House Pubs Overstreet lists this as " Classic Japanese bondage/torture WWII cover" I would have to humbly agree. Also full of bondage, torture, GGA and the usual FH fare. Rarely seen early issue. Most people who have it want to keep it. I just upgraded so I can cut it loose. It's low grade but has a nice cover with no pieces missing and great color. Cover is detached and torn at both staples. Slightly rolled spine. Book is complete with 60 pages (including covers). Centerfold is detached and a little ragged along the right side. Has one of those weird paper shortage short wraps in center is probably why it is detached. Has a lot of tiny edge tears mostly on back cover. Nice white/off white interior pages. Sorry for the funky lighting on back cover. Photo was taken outside in late afternoon. $300. Ooops, really blew this one. I meant to type a 3 not a 4. Bondage gets me excited!
  14. SOLD! Gabby #6 March 1953 Quality Pubs Outstanding GGA cover! Candy and other teenage cuties inside too. Bright, solid, complete copy. Has a couple small lower right corner creases and a tiny chip off. Bottom staple popped but book and centerfold still bound well to covers. Slight yellowing to upper right side of book. No other major tears or creases and no pieces missing. Interior paper is off white. Was $25. Still $25. Great book!
  15. Geppi mags go to adamstrange. Many thanks. You will enjoy these. they are fun!
  16. Mutt and Jeff Platinium Age pair Cupples and Leon Pubs Great reads, really. Fun stuff from a bygone era Book #16 1931 1/2 of title page missing. Cover is coming loose and split about 3" down from top. Still holding on to book though. Cover has some small creases and a tiny edge tear. No pieces missing which is common for these. Cream but very supple interior pages. Book #17 1932 Complete and better shape but some kid wrote his name large in pencil on both front and back covers. Spine is nice and tight with no splitting. A few minor creases most notably in bottom right corner. No pieces missing. Better cream to off white interior pages. Overstreet lists both of these as Scarce and for decent money but they are Platinium books... so Was $50. Then $45. Now $40. for the pair. Pre-Superman comics!!!
  17. SOLD! Commander Battle and the Atomic Sub #3 Nov-Dec 1954 ACG Pubs Classic Atom Age cover "It's an H-Bomb from the Moon!". H-Bomb explosion story with a great panel inside. Prime '50's R"Red Scare" material! A bright, complete copy with no pieces missing to mar this classic cover. A little chippy at top. Small scrape on upper right side of cover edge. Cover is mostly, neatly split. Attached by about 3" in center. Not detached. No major creases. Slightly yellowed interior pages. Grab a nice presenting classic cover cheap! $40.
  18. Superboy #57 June 1957 DC Pubs Outstanding Superboy baseball cover! Book is a little yellowed around perimeter. Has a light stamped arrival date for those who like them at top of front cover. Light waterstain in upper right corner. Tiny chip out and crease in bottom right corner. Neat 1" lower spine split. Light toning but paper is very flexible. Book and centerfold well attached to cover. Interior pages are yellowed but supple. Was $35. Then $30. Now $25. Come on Batter up!
  19. Early 1950's Superman Muscle Building Club Pinback Came in the boxed Muscle Building kit. Outstanding Wayne Boring Superman image. In my opinion, the best looking Superman pin. 1-3/8" round, tin, with brilliant color. Has some small scratches and rust spots on edges but nothing to mar the beautiful image. Comes with original pin so you can actually wear it to that next con or comic meet up and amaze your friends! Was $45. Now $40. + $2.50 postage
  20. Blazing Comics #6 April 1945 Rural Home Publishing Wild Indian WWII cover! Unusual book... A beat, water logged copy. Has a small chunk gone from lower right corner. Paper loss at top in title logo. Has two new staples because old ones are rusty. Inside cover and first page is dirty. Complete and readable. White interior pages. Was $25. Now $20.
  21. All right, how about a little afternoon session? Marvel Tales #130 Jan 1955 Atlas Pubs Absolute classic Russ Heath "Big Hand" cover. Nuclear bomb story. I've had this for some time just waiting to upgrade. Finally, bit the bullet and got a nice one A very presentable low grade copy with real nice color. Full cover with no pieces missing, bright and clean. Cover is taped on inside with two small pieces of tape. Spine is ragged. Lots of dents, wrinkles and small creases but not much in the way of severe color breaks. Small fade in lower right corner. Lots of tiny edge tears. Nice off white interior pages with no damage. A decent looking reader or hole filler until you can "man up" like I did. Was $125. Then $100! Now $90 for a CLASSIC PCH cover!
  22. This GI Joe #35 that looks like it has been in a war goes to Gino. I'm sure you don't look anywhere near as good in a torn nurse uniform... Thanks buddy!
