Truth Magazine July 14, 1894. 2nd appearance of The Yellow Kid by Richard Outcault. Very rare!!! Condition is good overall with marginal tears and chips; spine has archival tape so likely from a bound volume. See the pics for more details on condition. This is considered the second appearance of this comic character which predated his newspaper appearances.

With their volume of material, I am sure some things slip through the cracks. But I buy an inappropriately vast amount of material from Heritage. Graded and raw. I'm thrilled with the books and to date, never had a grading problem. Out of everyone in the industry, no one is even close to having the nearly-perfect batting average of Heritage.

This book is crazy rare, with only 4 blue labels on the census. The highest of which is a 4.0...... I'm thinking my copy beats that and could be the lone highest graded at a possible 5.0. The cover is nice and flat, still retains some gloss. The reds and yellows are super vivid and really pop on this awesome cover.
