Just a one day listing at a super low price for this item. Closing this tonight. Much lower than other Cap Chapter One 1-sheets have sold for at the major auction houses. This is a nice item that fits in a Timely, GA or poster collection. Original poster is 27"x41" (about 33 1/2"x47" framed) and has been linen-mounted. Poster was printed by the Morgan Litho Corp. of Cleveland, OH. This is a rare poster from 1944 for Chapter 1, The Purple Death, and features nice graphics including large full body image of Captain America with gun rescuing female lead Lorna Gray from The Scarab's laboratory as gas canisters fill the room w/poisonous gas, aka the Purple Death. Poster was originally folded and has since been linen-mounted w/professional restoration including margin touch-ups and restoration along fold line and at fold crease intersections and area in letter M in America and small spot on Captain America's head. Displays excellent and now comes beautifully conservation matted and professionally framed under UV glass. See the pics for more details. $4500
take. ironic since I'm not a Timely collector! But will look great on a wall...
