I just purchased another copy of 98, and yeah, it feels good to have this book again! Likely to be my very 1st slab too. Once it gets here, I will have to see if its a keeper or not.

It's a little more complicated than that guys, I work there as a 3rd job, prior to working there I did the order for this book with the manager, but the owner may have cut the order on FOC due to not enough subscribers for the book. It's a messy situation, but there has been something wonderful (A COPY OF THE BOOK MAN!!) that is being sent my way by an observer who read my troublesome story on the last page. Incredible person IMO. Thanks again, IDK how I will, but I'll find a way to pay it forward for this one.

Yeah, it was arranged that I would buy 25 copies at cost if I had to in order to get the 1:25 book. Pre-ordered 2 months ago.... Truth be told, I have had the worst luck as a Valiant collector. The 1990's got me bad chasing pre-unity books I couldn't afford, and my adult VEI chase is getting it, and getting it in decent condition which seems to be an issue. :-/

Well I just got bad news, Owner of the store cut my order from 25 down to 12, so No Tales of the Geomancer #1 for me. So pissed because it will now cost me serious loot to replace the book.

I picked up Bloodstrike #1 regular cover just for the NM 98 Cover Swipe! Opened it to see some nostalgic Image Liefeld property and a few disturbing images! ! I need to replace my 98 with a newer, higher grade copy. If anyone has RAW's in nice shape, I'm looking!

They have been selling really well prior, and will only gain more steam as the movie approaches. Even overstreet gave a really nice bump in XFactor 24 since last edition. Key Issues for X-Factor are #5, 6, 10, 15, 19, 23, 24, (+25 and 26 for the 3 connecting covers to be complete).

Don't remind me, I never scored a #1.....

Fixed, and you know how many people came in after initial orders wanting to pay for 25 copies to get the Geomancer title!?!?!?!?!?! We are only getting one copy because Valiant Readership locally does not read previews. And I pre-ordered my copy (the 1) I really wonder what the Geomancer books print/distribution run will be in the end.

That happens... But I like that NO ONE points out how some retailers order HTF variants & they arrive damaged & Diamond Regrets that they are out of stock... I've never heard that happen before. I'm not saying it doesn't happen - I just have never heard anyone say this happens. Happened on my Renew Your Vows 1:50, so yeah, I had to take a damaged copy for my personal collection which sucks but I guess I'll have to beg Diamond to at least send my books VF right?

That is indeed the 1:10 Variant for ASM #4. The Regular cover shows "Original Sin" tie in text, and the 1:50's are the Campbell Black Cat covers.

If the contents inside the book read correctly, then there is no misprint. If your copy is bound backwards, and read like a Manga (back to front), then you have a misprint for sure.

Correct. Sorry, my photo posting skills are not so great, it would seem. I called a few other local shops (Milwaukee area) and no one else got any, although a few stores don't get their books until tomorrow. Long time lurker but I figured this was worth a post. , it's not a misprint, they put the Regular 1st Print #2 cover on the back, and made the 2nd Print Cover what we call "Virgin" or Textless. I Flipped through one today and it was fine, covers same way as yours. And I don't see how this is heating up on ebay.

Writing is super important to me, and how, during the 90's "OMG JIM LEE, OMG that's not Jim Lee" days, I was knocked for reading Valiant titles because their art was less popular, but the writing was always better than any other titles at the time. VEI is doing superb as well with writing.
