  1. hardware 1 spiderman 1 bagged midnight sons set bagged
  2. Thought I'd chime in here, everyone's got a sob story we can related to. In 2017, at a comic convention, I sold my GSX 1 8.5 OW/W for $1200. I remember it was just around GPA, maybe a little less accounting for any ebay fees. I can't complain since I used some of those funds at the same show to buy these: FF 49 (graded out at CGC 7.0) still have it Batman Adventures 12 (raw, still have it. VF/NM) FF Annual 6 CGC 8.0 (still have it) All in all, what I bought can't compare to the meteoric runup for the GSX, but at least these three books I bought are still hot, and worth considerably more than $1200
  3. That is what made me target the AF15 myself. I didnt think I could afford it, but given the runup in bronze and copper, I think it's definitely feasible. I think as more people figure out attainable it is if you sell some of the "hot" comics now, the AF prices will rise. If people start looking to buy these, especially in the lower grades, you'll see it's not that easy to find. There aren't many coming to market right now. Let's look at two hot books. ASM 300 and Dark Horse Clone Wars 1 variant. They are both going for $8K and $15K approx for each. If you told me two years you'd trade me a Fantasy 15 for both of those, I'd think you're crazy and make the trade in a heartbeat. Given today's prices its actually a fair trade. That should tell you how overhyped some keys are.
  4. I agree. If you can get $10 large for Invincible or any modern book for that matter, I would cash out in a second and look to buy a major SA key like FF1, AF1, or something of the sort. Even a 0.5 of those books is still a better buy than a modern.
  5. First off I just want to thank snitm for coming forth and sharing his experience. I can definitely see how some people might be miffed that he moved the needle up, but let's be real, if you wanted an AF15, you've had more than ample opportunities to do so. WIth the run up in nearly every Marvel Key recently, it was baffling that this book did not follow the same trajectory. If snitm doesn't share this information, we may never know if if the sale was legitimate or not. Now that we know, maybe everyone here that owns one should be sending him a Christmas gift basket or at least a thank you card. He just moved the floor up considerably on this book. Another thing to consider is what others brought up in this thread. He outbid others to get this book... which means those bidders are back in the market and will probably be bidding again for another copy. So the price is probably going to be moving up, even on very low grades.
  6. the sad part is the person is this article is elderly. what if he doesnt live to see the resolution?
  7. I've heard nightmare stories of people keeping high dollar collections at a storage unit and getting broken into. Then when they file for insurance, they find out their homeowner's doesn't cover collectibles and that you need specialized coverage for that. In some cases, the thieves just unscrewed the door off the storage and went in. I would never trust anything of value in a storage unit.
  8. It's funny but I see a lot more AF15 with chipping come up for sale than the other big keys (FF, Hulk, JIM, TOS39, etc). Not sure if it's that people only want to let the substandard copies go, or if it is a lot more prevalent with that issue.
  9. Doesn't Heritage charge a buyer's premium too? If so, that would have to factored into the price.
  10. I was thinking $10K-15K a point but as it gets to the higher grades, that rule of thumb doesn't seem to apply. Also, there's a premium for non marvel chipping issues, but I don't know how to quantify that.
  11. holy smokes, 1st prints are $40+. we don't even know if this character is even in the movie, much less who's playing her.
  12. I def agree on the 2nd prints. real sleeper as there are much less out there than the first prints.
  13. a 2.5 Cream/OW just closed on ebay for $27600. The last two 2.5s which closed on ebay were $25,400 (4/24) and $24,269 (4/10). crazy, this seems to be going up by the week!
  14. Looks like Captain America 25 (1st Sam as Cap) is nearing $100 for raws. Any one thinks this has long term prospects or sell now? I think FWS went beyond most people's expectations, maybe even more than WandaVision.
  15. #1 is still undervalued IMO. I'm pretty certain FX is going to do a bang up job on the show. I buy any and all Y I see in the dollar boxes. If it blows up even halfway like WD, I think this series will draw in the casual viewer who'll go looking for the back issues, like WD. I remember when you could sell any WD back issues below #100 easily.
  16. this is pretty funny. I sold a few of 365 when he cameo'd in ESV for $15, but it's been crickets since then. So bad that I pulled all my listings and just didn't bother. But you're right there's a ton of sales $25-30. Odd, especially with no news.
  17. Honestly, I read it and I don't get the appeal. I remember I bought two of the Frison variant #1 when it came out cause she was the hot artist at the time. I never bought anymore SIKTC and I don't intend to. A $1K for a 9.8, this absolutely absurd for something that wasn't even hard to find when it came out.
  18. Probably will close around $50k that’s a very nice copy
