  1. Then again, the great majority of ebay buyers do not know how to grade. An ebay NM is a CGC boardie VF. I find as long as you take a lot of pictures of raw books, the buyer can make their determination on their own grade assumption. Sadly, ebay is probably the best place to sell. If you think ebay has a lot of , you should try posting on FB and/or IG. It's much much worse there, especially with no policing.
  2. Great person to deal with. Easy to work with and takes exceptional care in packing items.
  3. i could barely make out anything between the guy's cell phone, watermarks and unfinished VFX. I think the plans were to attach it to Shang-Chi, I can wait a couple weeks when I can see it in IMAX.
  4. Usually, the figures come out way in advance of the movie, but I guess since this is a largely unknown property, it isn't selling and retailers are clearancing them, since it doesn't look like it's selling. Shame because it looks like the movie is tracking to be a success and kids may be out looking for these afterwards- only to find Katy at Target (that figure is pegwarming everywhere and is probably the worst selling Legends figure of all time).
  5. I know I perked up in my chair when I heard them name drop Necrosword. Maybe a couple years from now, people will remeber this when Knull rumors start circulating...
  6. For the most part I enjoyed the Marvel movies (with the exception of Black Widow, for obvious reasons see my avatar), but this looks pretty dull. Granted, I never read the comics so I have no attachment, but these trailers do nothing to draw me in. Looking back, think I made the right decision to unload my copies and going to start contemplating selling more.
  7. Also what was the other store on Oahu?
  8. Glad you could at least visit choice. They are the best store in Hawaii hands down actually the store in question that closed down with the owner that passed away was gecko comics. He was open for at least 30 years. Shame that he passed on but at least he got to leave on his terms somewhat. Jellys has been closed for at least 6 years mostly because of poor management. For the last few years, they didn’t even carry new comics since they lost their trade terms with diamond.
  9. Take these at 20% off she hulk 1 xmen 4 white tiger 1 venom 9
  10. I forgot about the closing of Gecko's. Yes, they closed in October and were probably the best store in Hawaii, not just Oahu. They had tons of new comics, back issues, figures, games, cards, just merch in general. They were in business for over 25 years and I used to spend many a day going there just to dig for back issues when I had a free afternoon. Still miss them to this day
  11. I think of the three, Loki was definitely the best of the bunch, and I probably had the lowest expectations of the three. TBH, I didn't really care of the character of Loki much in the movies, but after the series I definitely feel more invested in him, and that's a testament to the writing and character development. The series had three memorable moments for me: the various Loki's in the Void, Mobius and Loki's embrace and the intro of Kang. I don't recall any huge moments in the other two Disney+ shows, but still they were very good. Definitely better than Black Widow, that's for sure.
  12. I consider Breaking Bad and maybe Better Call Saul to be perfect. Each season is very well written with oustanding character development. Also, the storyline are never predictable.
  13. The best overall comic store is Choice Comics, hands down. He has a nice mix of new comics, back issues, hot keys, CGC slabs and supplies. He has the best feel for the market and his prices are very fair. Also, this is the only store on Oahu that has any CGC comics; no one else sells graded comics. If you're into sportscards, he is in the same location as the best sportscard store in Hawaii. Other Realms is a good store, large back issue selection. They do have a wide selection of new comics and the store is pretty big. I would not recommend Dragon's Lair at all. They only have a new comics with TPBs. The back issues they have are a few long boxes of dollar junk, mostly 90s drek. Also, the owner is your typical arrogant opinionated comic store owner. Don't waste your time driving out here. Idea's only has back issues, no new comics. If you have time to spare, it's a good place to dig for gems. West Side mostly has new comics, limited back issue selection. They sell a lot of RPG game stuff. Bella's is very new, he only opened a few weeks ago. He carries new and back issues.
  14. IIRC, they had to extend Unicron twice to ensure it hit the goal. I guess Hasbro really wanted to make that, rather than scrap it and move on. At 400 units at a 14K production, they are expecting $5.6M. Hasbro is looking to cash out on this project. I think 14K might be tough to reach. This is not a Sentinel where people buy mulptiles. Also, the previous Hasbro Marvel Universe Galactus, is already pretty good, just not as large.
  15. I used to rush down to the LCS every week to get the Comic Buyer's Guide back in the early 90s (there was no ebay then of course). You'd have to get the CBG ASAP since people would be calling the dealers to snag the back issues. In my area, we didn't have any major comic cons, so trying to find keys was challenging to say the least. Plus I was in college and broke so travelling was out the question. The ads in the CBG were my main source to find back issues, and I still have most of what I bought back then. WIsh I had an old copy somewhere so I could check out the ads the prices. Ah nostalgia.....
  16. 5.0. not worth pressing or cleaning
  17. easy. if you don't know anything about the history of the comics. probably they are just saving him for another show. maybe when they introduce ghost rider.
  18. well usually they know what they're doing. sounds like the Wandavision showrunner doesn't have a background in comics or is maybe not a big fan. Mephisto would've been pretty obvious to most comic fans as a villain.
  19. If they were boring and predictable, it would be Warner Bros. and DC properties. Marvel and Feige seems to have a good enough grasp to keep the fans off balance by knowing the source material well enough to tweak it a bit but not get too far away from the spirit of the character (ignoring the fumbles of Mandarin and Taskmaster). It's the swerve of well know storylines that keep MCU fresh and makes it exciting.
  20. I think, like Alice In Wonderland, that once you saw what was behind the curtain you can't unsee it. You can't just go back on your merry way from whence you came. So logically given what the Lokis went through, they should either take over TVA and govern it or kill Immortus and take their chances.
  21. I'd love to see a Throg focused storyline in What If. perhaps Season 2?
