  1. Oh absolutely it does. Despite the Gold vs. Silver dichotomy, my Batman 23 has an even bigger piece out of the front cover and it got a 4.0. Your 15 definitely has an argument. Next time write “Gator” on the invoice maybe Last year at WW Chicago was the first time I met him, wanted to give him money just for looking at the books. But I did buy a Batman 232. Which me, Rick, and CGC graded an 8.0
  2. They definitely got angry at that piece out of the back cover.
  3. Follow-up question having nothing to do with the first - ever feel like your AF 15 got shortchanged with a 1.8? Minimum 2.5 imho from the photos after 4ish sodas.
  4. First question that came to mind when I saw the thread title - how did you steal Mr. Clark’s gig hosting the American Music Awards?
  5. Just to add a little something - if you purchase your postage through Paypal, it is a little bit cheaper. I'm not sure how much longer this will be an option though as I got the dreaded "managed payments are coming" email from eBay the other day.
  6. You know what? Let's toss out a gold nugget too. Detective Comics 91, amusing Joker cover. CGC 4.0, with the not too often seen on early DCs white pages. SOLD!
  7. Don’t follow EVS, so not sure what his motivation is here. But it’s a pretty low rent move dancing on people’s metaphorical graves at a time like this.
  8. In the near term I agree, there's probably going to be a lot of suspensions and cuts. Be like '09, but ultimately the best names weathered that storm and will do the same with this imho.
  9. Negative, no reason to trade in one asset that sits in my closet and doesn't pay dividends for another asset that will sit in my closet and not pay dividends.
  10. And before I head to the basement to catch up on last night's episode of Saul, let's end with a bit of a bang -- Giant Size X-Men 1. First new team. $&#* yeah. CGC 8.0, white pages. Sold!!!
  11. Shifting gears to the X-Men -- (Uncanny) X-Men 104. Great Magneto battle cover that features a rare appearance of Wolverine in long sleeves. CGC 9.6, white pages. $325 SOLD!
  12. More Thor, this time in his very own title! Thor 175, The Fall of Asgard. Once again featuring a Loki cover. CGC 9.6, white pages. $275 $225 shipped
  13. Let's switch brands -- Detective Comics 371 is up next. CGC 9.2, ow/w, with an amusing Batgirl cover. $350 $275 shipped
  14. We return to JIM with Journey Into Mystery 88. Great Thor/Loki battle cover. CGC 7.5, off-white pages. SOLD!
  15. I know I said blue labels, but I forgot about this guy -- next up is (Uncanny) X-Men 17. CGC SS 6.0, ow/w pages, signed by none other than writer Stan Lee. Great cover with a Magneto cameo. Sold!
  16. What's up all. Strange times we're living through, for sure. And with them dragging the stock market down rather forcefully, I've identified my target bargains. Alls I need is some more cash. So for your consideration, I'm offering up some blue labels that I can eventually replace. Necessities: Payment: In addition to PayPal, I will also accept check/money order/Zelle, though the book will be held until clearance. Payment due within 10 business days. Shipping (domestic): All CGC books ship USPS insured priority. Individual raw books will ship USPS first class unless otherwise noted. Multiple raw books may bump up to USPS flat rate depending on the final weight. Shipping cost is included in each book's price, discounts apply for multiple purchases (inquire in advance if you'd like to know the shipping cost on a particular group of books). International Shipping - at cost, minus the domestic shipping cost. Please inquire first for accurate pricing. Returns: No returns on CGC graded books unless I make an error in the listing or fail to disclose a problem. If by chance the USPS goes above and beyond to defeat my packaging and the slab is damaged in transit, prior to doing ANYTHING ELSE, save all the packing material and contact me. USPS regulations have been beefed up to require the packing material being available for inspection (pictures suffice based on experience) in order to file a proper insurance claim. Returns on raws will be accepted if requested within 7 business days if we have a substantial disagreement on grade/condition, or again if I made a listing error or failed to disclose a flaw. Standard eBay excuses not accepted - my cat arranged this sale, my 9 year old bought this without my permission, my car had a heart attack, my grandmother needs new brakes, etc. On the HoS? Don't bother. Probation list? Message me first and we'll talk about your situation, but don't be overly optimistic. Can provide board references if needed (no name dropping here), and nearing 1700 positive eBay feedback as well -- https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=792mn. And I've got a fledgling kudos thread started (link is in my profile page). First wins a particular book outright, offers always welcome. Onward!
  17. I’d argue that CCS wait times are pretty irrelevant during these current times. That aside, you might as well get in the queue now.
