  1. Abrams came up with magic Khan blood for his sophmore effort with Star Trek. Ruined the entire movie. Don’t be shocked if episode nine disappoints you too.
  2. You ever wonder how Palpatine, in such a high visibility role as Chancellor, managed to duck away unnoticed all the time for his nefarious meetings in the seedy parts of Coruscant? Was he just telling the folks around the office "Hey, I'm going out for a smoke, I should be back in like...5 hours or so. Oh and don't call, my cell is, uh, out of juice. Hey (points to guy sitting inauspiciously in the corner)! Yeah you. If anything pops off, handle it till I get back. What? No, I'm not going by Jimmy Johns, get your own damn lunch! P-man out!"
  3. A bit belated as this is from last week. Very pleased to add the first SA appearance of Aaron Eckhart. I also picked up a Hulk 182, but that's the 3rd or 4th copy I've owned ergo not as fun.
  4. If memory serves, its definitely the precursor to PGX before they settled on the PGX name. I remember CGG from when I first started collecting graded books (2000!!!). One seller in particular had a lot of CGG books on eBay back then, most of which seemed to be 9.9s or 10.0s. That's not a red flag at all...
  5. Such a shame, PGA would be quite a fitting name for them -- Panhandlers Grading Abysmally.
  6. Don’t forget that his jet pack has to run out of gas at an inopportune time as well.
  7. While I'm here though, let me express my joy at seeing that Zia Records is still around. Made many a purchase there whenever I was in Tucson.
  8. You'd be better suited posting this question here instead: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/69-sigseries-event-central/
  9. Where does replica stop and counterfeit begin?
  10. Don’t forget that Disney owns also Marvel, where nothing ever stays dead.
  11. For a character that was supposed to be so incredibly cool, Jango Fett's death was comically bad. "Despite my jet pack and prior fancy maneuvers, I will stand perfectly still and fire my blaster. No way Samuel L. Jackson will cut my head off..." Maybe the (now hypothetical?) Boba Fett movie could've opened with young Boba cleaning out the helmet with an ice cream scooper.
  12. These make me especially sad. God bless Stan for trying, but Celestial Wind should be ashamed of themselves (ha, like that would ever happen) for continuing to exploit his name in order to make a quick buck.
  13. I agree just from casual observation that a plateau seems to be in. Now I'm hoping to see books graded 5.0, or dare I even say 6.0, and below start falling back under $2000. I'd buy and hold that dip.
  14. Consulting the fine people at JM Bullion, it looks like I could take that $300 and buy 19 ounces of silver at present, and have enough left over for a sandwich. I will take that action.
  15. Under $200 when combined with my eBay bucks...
  16. It needs to be an alliteration, like Wonderful Wolverine, or Whimsical Wolverine. Perhaps a Wistful Wolverine...
  17. Ed Harris?!?! It is so on now... Top Gun 2: Top Rock. In a sinister effort to increase TV ratings, Jon Hamm hires Miles Teller to resurrect Ed Harris from the dead so he can once again steal a mess of VX armed missiles and take over Alcatraz, complete with tourist hostages. Faced with few good options, the President orders a thermite plasma strike be delivered by the nation's two most hallowed pilots -- Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer. BUT, there's a problem. Val Kilmer, weighing in at 3 bills, is significantly out shape, threatening the very structural integrity of his fighter jet. Luckily, Tom Cruise will have none of it, and he recruits personal trainer Jennifer Connelly to whip Val's lazy arse into shape. As the 15 minute montage of alternating Val Kilmer HIIT training and Tom Cruise/Jennifer Connelly love scenes wears on, the audience is left to wonder... Can they stop Zombie Ed Harris in time????
  18. Oh lord, Top Gun 2 is a thing? Can present day Val Kilmer even fit into an F/A-18?
  19. The solution to these types of complaints like OP's is clear -- it's time to add "Sentimental" to Universal, Signature Series, Restored, and Qualified. Complete with the brand new pink label. All books submitted to this tier will be automatically graded a Sentimental 9.8 so long as the submitter demonstrates, based upon preponderance of the evidence, that they truly believe the book(s) submitted have been kept in absolutely 100% pristine condition since their childhood. Spine tics, creases, fingerprint smudges, tears, spine rolls, etc. as well as any prior track record of grading prowess need not apply. Malcontents satiated, grading complaints minimized.
  20. Guess that $0.005 bag would’ve excessively eaten into homeboy’s profit margin... eBay - check your common sense at the door.
  21. There's always buyers for Stan merchandise... Guessing it came out of one of Celestial Wind's private signings based on the date.
