I also hesitated in sharing my experience, but decided to anyways...for all the same reasons. The thing I never figured out is...surely someone with his level of experience in the hobby, and his size of collection...knows how to grade. So either he's intentionally misrepresenting books' conditions, or he's using his own "Nacca Grading Standard". I read somewhere that he isn't a fan of the CGC movement, so perhaps he just never adopted their standards...

I realize this is old but...my . Joe 100% has the goods, but he requires pictures because undoubtedly the returns were extensive. His grading is horrid. I've bought a couple books where restoration was not advertised/disclosed as well... I've given him my business several times, but as others have stated...the experience is daunting and I have settled on it not being worth the trouble.

I just renewed my membership, which had lapsed, and now I'm not being permitted the mail-in option...the only services available to me are show drop off. Is there a delay or something?

Is take pending scan a real thing? Not trying to be a pot stirrer but it’s essentially take, with the option to change your mind for any reason. And if someone takes without conditions, does that trump the conditional take? And if it does trump it, which seems logical to me, what’s the point of making the conditional claim in the first place? I just find it all very confusing...

Whoops, got my wires crossed. Hence the PayPal dispute with intent to nab the book and get his money back. Everything else stands...

My opinions: 1.) I honestly don't care that catwomancomics (CWC) used PayPal f&f for this transaction. I get it's a rule for marketplace (which this wasn't), and I get it's a PayPal policy...I still don't care. 2.) I knew, with little doubt, who the guilty party was purely from the PM exchange. I was honestly impressed with CWC's level of graciousness. Considering it was PayPal f&f, CWC could have said whatever they wanted without recourse. There was no reason to be courteous, yet he/she was... Good on you for showing class. 3.) When I saw the returned contents weighed, and it matching the return parcel weight....game over.

I don’t know what I was expecting from a stop motion modok, but I’m disappointed... But that’s not to say the rest of the equation (-script, voice cast, etc...) won’t make it a hit...

Being a jerk isn’t cool. Doesn’t matter if you’re being one to a particular demographic, or to everyone. I know this seems obvious to most, but you’d be surprised...

Avengers #48; 4.5/5.0; $130 Chips bottom left corner front cover and some foxing. Otherwise solid book.
