  1. Hello All, So I tracked down a copy of Monsters on Dwell #34 and showed it to Scott this past weekend. He freaked out because he hadn't seen that story in 40+ years. Want to thank everyone who responded; especially to NERV who commented that it was reprinted in MoD #34. Thanks again, Paul~
  2. Very sorry to hear this; especially this time of year. 😢 Paul
  3. Thanks to everyone that responded. That is indeed the story. Did not know about the reprint in Where Monsters Dwell #34. clearly, the story had an impact on my friend, Scott, and I, as we remembered the story independently of each other from when we were kids. Just a classic! Thanks to everyone. Paul
  4. Hello all, So after the help that you provided finding “Crazy”, my friend Scott said he had one more story that he was trying to find. Again, I hope the boards can help. I did not read this as a kid, but apparently Scott did. The story goes like this. Robbers rob a bank or store and then make their getaway. While hiding out one them goes to have his fortune read by an old fortune teller who reads his fortune. He asks her what it says, and she says that she can’t tell him, but she will write it down on this piece of paper and gives it to him. At that moment the other robbers come in and say the cops are coming, and they takeoff and crash. In the final panel, there is a close-up on the piece of paper, which says “you poor man you have no future”. Again, it could be golden Age, reprint, or something in the silver age. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Paul

  8. Was shocked when I read this posting. Last time we interacted was a PM where we were discussing missing each other at the Greenville ComicCon last year. Please let me (and of course other board members) know what we can do to help out his family at this terrible time. He will definitely be missed. Paul~
  9. Jim, That is a feat that I doubt will be repeated! And what a wonderful display to see them all in one picture. Congratulations and take a much deserved bow. Agree that Buckler was outstanding and under appreciated. His private works after he retired are incredible. Met him only one time in 1996 @ Heroes Con. Great guy. Paul
  10. Do you have a link? I can’t find the seller using his eBay name. Thanks, Paul.
  11. Yes, best heroes show in years and I've been going since 1990
  12. Wanted to give a to Rob. Sold him two books from his WTB thread (MTUs). Very easy to work with; followed through on what he said he would do every step of the way. Thanks again, Rob! Paul~
  13. Another great experience @ Heroes Convention this year (My first year at the con was 1990 .). I spent a large amount of my time at Arexcrooke's and DavidBurn's fantastic corner of goodies. Want to give a special shout out to Tim @Timmay who with a strong back helped me look through every box of Trades/Graphic novels from their single owner collection. Thanks to all! Paul
  14. A recent upgrade (1 of 2 on the census). Posting this without looking at the unfortunate picture of Sean Connery... Paul~
  15. Managed to complete the short set in record time. (At least for me considering that I often collect obscure stuff with only 4-5 on the census). So I've already posted #2, 4, and 5 of Giant-Size Conan. Here are the other two (both White pages). Both new to the census I believe. Thanks to everyone who was my cheering section. Paul~
