  1. Just caught up with issue #4. It is tough to describe how great this book is but its easy to note that Marvel and DC should try to be more like this series. A throwback in that its always interesting and the action feels more like a movie than a comic. This and Black Hammer are the 2 best team books on the market. This is also 2nd only to The Authority as far as the best books that Millar has written to date. Does anyone know if Volume 2 is the end or just a chapter in the series ?

I think it is 3 seires of 6 issues arks.

  2. Minor complaint - I don't much care for them turning him into a professional driver in the movies. Seems too much like every other action hero. In the books he is largely inept behind the wheel because of his size and because he never had to drive a car before because of his career and lifestyle. Which makes sense and is unique to the character.

So is being 6 feet 5 inches tall, and weighing 250 lbs. So is being trained by the

best the Army has, to take out the worst of the worst. A little suspension of

belife will go a long way.

  3. The 1960 version was excellent. Sure there were flaws because of the filming limitations in that era but overall it was well done.

The film was taken from a Japanese film of the same idea so really that version was a remake also.

I don't put out much hope about the new remake as Hollywood movies tend to go over-the-top in their delivery. They feel the need to deliver things that couldn't possibly have happened in that era because they don't believe people will see it otherwise. 3:10 to Yuma is a good example. A basic film that had a lot of suspense and character ruined by bullet-ridden affair in the more recent version.

I disagree here - I thought both the modern remakes of 3:10 to Yuma and True Grit were superior to the originals.

_Maybe_ the cinematography in the original 3:10 to Yuma was better, but in terms of acting, pacing and story, I found the new one to be far superior.

Not saying this film will come close to the original Magnificent Seven (again, as I said -- it needs just a bit more acting firepower to even come close) but it could still make for a fun Saturday afternoon.

Just came back from this and it was better than the original. I am a big Steve McQueen and Yul Brynner fan, but the remake blows it out of the water. Very modern take on this classic story.

    :o BLASPHEME!!!! (tsk)

    John Wick: Viggo.

    Viggo Tarasov: Yeah?

John Wick: When Helen died, I lost everything. Until that dog arrived on my doorstep... A final gift from my wife... In that moment, I received some semblance of hope... an opportunity to grieve unalone... And your son... took that from me.

    Viggo Tarasov: Oh, God.

John Wick: Stole that from me... *Killed that from me*! People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back. So you can either hand over your son or you can die screaming alongside him!

  5. Tom Cruise Closes Deal For MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 6; Production Expected To Start Spring 2017

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Tom Cruise has officially closed his deal with Paramount Pictures to return as action spy extraordinaire Ethan Hunt in the highly anticipated sixth installment in his blockbuster Mission: Impossible franchise. He'll also once again produce.

Chris McQuarrie, who helmed the exhilarating Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, wrote the -script and will be back in the director's chair for Part 6.

Production has been pushed from January to Spring 2017. No word yet on the rest of Ethan Hunt's elite IMF team, but Rogue Nation breakout star Rebecca Ferguson has been heavily rumored to be involved in some capacity. As for Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Alec Baldwin, Paula Patton and/or Maggie Q, we'll just have to wait and see on their availability for Cruise's sixth impossible mission in the coming months.

Bring him back as Les Grossman.

  6. Well # 2 is out and

Quitely does the best fight sequences period.

He does a lot of things extremely well. I'm consistently amazed by the quality of this run. Millar and Quitely are putting out a story that will be discussed for years after it ends. Greatness. The fight scene and the imagination it took to create it are just incredible. (thumbs u

    :gossip:Did you know that,

They have plans for a movie or two?

The first photo of Colin Firth on the set of Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle has surfaced online.

Pedro Pascal, who has been added to the cast of the Kingsman sequel, shared a photo of himself and Firth together on his Instagram account. Firth had already been confirmed to return to the franchise which came as a surprise to many following his character's fate in the original film.

  8. JL Phantom #1

    #1 reg and 1:25

They aren't setting the world on fire but they've been inching their way up for a while. I personally love the covers and interior art. Frank Quitely will be well remembered by most imo. His work on The Authority, All-Star Superman, and New X-men certainly stands out as some of the most memorable work at the turn of the century.

On a side note, Jupiter's Legacy #3 stands out. Comparable to The Killing Joke and Miracleman 14-15. Utterly shocking if you were reading it as it happened.

They printed the hell out of the book and the variant covers are done by Quietly doesn't help.

I love the book, but with a better artist this book would be a monsters its really really good with average art.

OK. This is twice now that you have made this comment. Who would you like to

    see doing this book??

  9. Its back and the new issue was worth the wait imo. Something big is brewing. Closest thing to The Authority in a long time. (thumbs u

I have to agree here. This IS worth the wait, hope that there are no delays, as

has been seen before. Question is this a three part(as in we are in part two), or

will this ark end the series?
