  1. JL Phantom #1

    #1 reg and 1:25

They aren't setting the world on fire but they've been inching their way up for a while. I personally love the covers and interior art. Frank Quitely will be well remembered by most imo. His work on The Authority, All-Star Superman, and New X-men certainly stands out as some of the most memorable work at the turn of the century.

On a side note, Jupiter's Legacy #3 stands out. Comparable to The Killing Joke and Miracleman 14-15. Utterly shocking if you were reading it as it happened.

They printed the hell out of the book and the variant covers are done by Quietly doesn't help.

I love the book, but with a better artist this book would be a monsters its really really good with average art.

OK. This is twice now that you have made this comment. Who would you like to

    see doing this book??

  2. Its back and the new issue was worth the wait imo. Something big is brewing. Closest thing to The Authority in a long time. (thumbs u

I have to agree here. This IS worth the wait, hope that there are no delays, as

has been seen before. Question is this a three part(as in we are in part two), or

will this ark end the series?

  3. I noticed they were playing the Westworld trailer last night on HBO.

Though billed by HBO as a “teaser,” above is the first footage that resembles a real trailer for HBO’s Westworld.

The teaser aired Sunday night just before the penultimate episode of Game of Thrones’ sixth season, and is full of tense, creepy sci-fi action. “These violent delights have violent ends,” threatens one theme park android played by Evan Rachel Wood. Check it out above.

The long-awaited series, based on the 1973 film by Michael Crichton, is set to debut on HBO this fall. “Our show is about the robots who don’t realize they’re in a fake Western,” showrunner Jonathan Nolan said during a panel at the ATX Festival in Austin, Texas earlier this month. Nolan added, “It was actually Game of Thrones that made us feel like we could pull this off. We actually pitched this as making Days of Heaven and Alien simultaneously and then cutting them together. Game of Thrones was the inspiration for this. Thrones had this commitment to practical production value, which is not necessarily whats in vogue these days … [Westworld] had to have this big scope.”

Crichton’s original film focused on what happens when androids at an adult-themed amusement park revolt after a malfunction. The reboot shifts the focus to the androids, who are used to fulfill the dark fantasies of the human visitors.

  4. Police Lifestyle has released a new ad for their upcoming line of limited edition Batman v Superman watches featuring footage from the film, including Superman's heroics & Batman's nightmare.

I wonder how watches compete nowadays against Apple's multi-functional device. If anything, this ends up as a collectible more than anything else.

  5. I trust McWeeny & he's definitely a comic book geek.

Before founding HitFlix for years he was literally the only reviewer for Ain't It Cool News who could write _at all_ (low bar, but still...)

    He was "Moriarty."

Soo, how do these numbers add up to his expectations.

  6. I was curious about the official confirmation, not just rumors (like Latino Review, although they do score some great stuff and I trust them to a good extent). I'm just wondering if the other night was the first time DC themselves officially acknowledged Flash was in the movie.

    hm

Then based on that distinction, I would say the DC Special was the first official announcement that Green Lantern and The Flash would appear. I think before that, Cyborg was mentioned, and it was already clear Aquaman and Wonder Woman would make very brief appearances. Though now from all the shared footage it is clear Wonder Woman plays a much bigger role.

So I think the next question is how many of us will drop of a (joy induced) heart

    attack after watching Deadpool/ JLA/ Avengers/ X-Men movies within the next 4

    months?

Best time EVER to be a comicbook geek. :whee::ohnoez:
