  1. Wow, thank you for the info on the #10 cover! I'll contact Bechara to see if he still has it. Even if nothing comes of it, it is still great news to hear that the cover exists.
  2. Not sure on #2, but I know going back around 8 years i remember seeing Bechara with the cover to #3 (giant robot cover). Though #3 is now in someone's CAF gallery. Would be nice to see #2 if Bechara has it.
  3. I am the same way on the Joe vehicles. A loose example with a nice box is all I need. The boxes for the Joe line were almost as cool as the vehicle itself with the great artwork and file card / vehicle specs on the back.
  4. As a late 70s & early 80s kid who collected Star Wars, MOTU, Transformers, & G.I. Joe, I can say my fondest memories come from my Joes. I would love to collect Joes MOC, but I've been aware of all the problems associated with that as detailed in the last few pages of this thread. I won't collect taped boxes of the Joe vehicles either, as the tape seems to get really yellow and can lose it's adhesiveness. So, I still have a little of my childhood collection and add a loose item or two once in a while, but that's about all I will do.
  5. Has anyone ever come across the cover art to issue #10 or #11? Either of those would be a grail for me, as they were the first comics I remember buying off the stands.
  6. I just now typed "g.i. Joe #5 comiclink original art" into Google and the $1,600 page #3 did come up as the 1st listing. Not sure about finding any other pages.
  7. I've only viewed about half the episodes this season, after being a regular watcher the last few years. Some of it has been "ok" , but mostly nondescript. Jodi seems like a fine actress, but it may be the writing that is letting me down. The Doctor should carry the weight, heartbreak, history, burden, & triumphs of all previous Doctors but this one doesn't. It's like a brand new Doctor with no past.
  8. After selling through Heritage, I remember a few pages from issue #5 were later sent to Comiclink in 2016. If memory serves, a page with no main characters sold around $600 and a nicer page (maybe page #3?) sold around $1,600.
  9. I haven't seen any for sale, but there are some images of GI Joe card art & box art posted on comicartfans.com. I'm sure many of you have seen these already, but for those that haven't check out michael Avila's gallery or search under "GI Joe Toy Art". The pictures came from Hasbro's offices.
  10. I remember Hulk #209 as one of the few Hulk books I had as a kid. Always really liked that issue. I'd love to see the cover art if you decide to show it.
  11. Thanks jsilverjanet and Bomber-Bob for the responses. I just wasn't sure if Thursday was more of a "starting to set up" kind of day for the dealers. Looks like I'll be heading there tonight.
  12. Hi guys, I might only be able to get to this show today due to work. I'm wondering if all the dealers are set up on Thursdays? Will I be missing anything by not being there Friday - Sunday? Thanks!
  13. A nice Doctor Who Weekly page from 1979 by Dave Gibbons sold last Sunday for $3,840. Strong price I would say.
  14. I really like the Han Solo Trilogy novel covers, especially the "Paradise Snare", but at $35,000 it's not to be.
  15. (A) Had to be my 1978 Death Star playset. I remember having lots of fun with that toy. It's long gone, however I do still have the original instructions from that playset, so I'm happy to have some tangible memory from it. (B) I wanted lots of GI Joe toys I never was able to get. Maybe my most wanted was the GI Joe headquarters. I had to build my own back in 1985.(see pic below).
  16. Oh cool! This is the first I've heard it will be in Chicago next year. I hope to make it, as it would be my first time there.
  17. Very nice gesture for you to offer up your art for public viewing. Wish I could attend.
  18. To be clear, I wasn't criticizing anyone. I was just surprised at the pricing so far on the Spider-woman cover, and wondering if prices are higher than expected due to a strong focus collector active in the market.
  19. Wow, seems like a lot for a Spider-woman cover. I know all vintage Spider-woman art seems to end up with that one guy on CAF. Maybe people have to pay up to try to outbid that guy?
  20. That's the copy that sold for a record price of $261,000 last year on Comiclink. Still shown on Comiclink homepage. I doubt the owner then decided it was a good idea to throw it up in a no reserve ebay auction.
  21. Wow, thanks for posting the G.I. Joe artwork. The cover to #24 might be my favorite, most memorable cover of the run. Your #23 page is really nice too with a cool image of Stormshadow. How many pages do you have from that issue?
  22. Nice pictures, thanks for posting! Great to see all the art for those of us who couldn't be there. I hope to see some of these dealers at C2E2 in a few weeks.
