  1. Gone now but there was a lot to process in that trailer and it was amazing. Also, you can never go wrong with Leonard Cohen. Should be back up once it plays on https://www.dcfandome.com/live
  2. I always forget he did Insomnia, probably because it doesn’t feel like a Nolan movie. Still thought it was great.
  3. Not the best Nolan film but it’s probably my favorite.
  4. Are box office bombs any indicator of whether a movie is good or not? Are box office successes any indicator? I loved Shawshank Redemption, a great film that bombed. The list goes on. But come up with an idea with fast cars - billion dollar franchise!
  5. What if they threw in free popcorn?
  6. Yup, I must see Dune and Tenet in IMAX.
  7. Yes, Dark Knight Rises with all its warts over The Avengers. DKR has a lot of issues that bug me but I still enjoyed it over the video game-like Avengers fighting the swarm of enemies. The first Avengers was just fun to me.
  8. 2000: X-Men (Almost went with Unbreakable)2001: From Hell2002: Spider-Man 2003: X2 2004: The Punisher 2005: Batman Begins 2006: V for Vendetta 2007: 300 2008: The Dark Knight 2009: Watchmen DC 2010: Kick Azz 2011: X-Men: First Class 2012: The Dark Knight Rises 2013: Man of Steel 2014: The Winter Soldier (Almost went with Days of Future Past) 2015: Kingsman 2016: Civil War 2017: Ragnarok 2018: Infinity War 2019: Endgame 2020: Prediction is that BW will win me over WW84. The Kings Man also has a shot.
  9. I’d buy this movie again if they deep faked the whole thing. But they need to add BDW.
  10. He has clearly earned a place there. I just read it costs 50k if the nomination is accepted to get a star. And the star has to show up. Clint Eastwood was offered a spot in front of the Chinese Theater and declined. That just makes him more badass.
  11. Interesting note on James Hong is that he may be the most credited actor in the history of Hollywood with 672 credits. Well, 673 with his voice work in the above. However, he will forever be this guy to me 👇
  12. I agree. It should be a straight up $19.99 purchase price with reduction to $14.99 after some months have passed. Is the $30 a rental or unlimited streaming unlock on Disney+? Lots of greed during the pandemic. Disney could have shown a lot of class by just putting it on Disney+ as a thank-you to all the subscribers during hard times. I’m not an Apple cheerleader, but they bought a big budget cancelled cinema release and gave it to all AppleTV subscribers at no extra charge. Tom Hanks WW2 flick GREYHOUND. That’s a film I would have paid to see. EDIT: Looking further into it, it’s actually $37 to watch Mulan if you don’t already subscribe to Disney+. The $30 is just an early viewing unlock on the channel. It will be made available to view without the extra fee at a later date. Possibly a few months. I have a subscription so my daughters will simply wait to see it when it’s part of the normal streaming service. Same for Black Widow which may follow the same path as Mulan. SECOND EDIT: Who am I kidding? I’ll pay $30 to unlock Black Widow early. I’ll just invite some friends and charge them “admission.” They bring the food and beer. There are some movies I’ll watch online at the free sites but I want to stream Black Widow in 4K.

    TRON 3

Working title is TRON : ARES with TRON : DESTINY being another possibility. I like DESTINY better since this is following LEGACY. Jared Leto will play the new character Ares with Garth Davis possibly directing. Previously he had directed Lion. Of course all subject to change since it’s in early stages.
  14. Anyway, I’m not here to express hate, just giving a ribbing to the movie because I wanted more than Escape to Witch Mountain. Justice League and Captain Marvel will never be rewatched by me. I will certainly watch CM2 and JLSC
  15. Why is Marvel going with a new director for CM2? First one made a billion so you would think they wouldn’t change a thing.
  16. I really liked the first Transformers movie and the last one (Bumblebee). I did not like the rest.
  17. It’s too bad Free Fire bombed at the box office as I really enjoyed it.
  18. I’ve been living in hotels for over a year now as I travel for work so I can’t drag along a game system as much as I’d like to. I don’t play computer games either since I have no need for a laptop. My job doesn’t require significant computing power so I can do everything on my iPad with a wireless keyboard and pencil. So my workstation is my only game station as well when paired with an xbox controller. Older games that I’m nostalgic about play better here than they did back in the day. For example, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Bully just look and play smoother after they revamped them a bit for IOS. Newer games like Call of Duty are just amazing considering my tablet is just running off a phone chip. Apple has never made the best phone (except for the first iphone) but I gotta hand it to them for their tablets.
  19. Superman ‘78 was MY Superman. Man of Steel was also MY Superman. I was 8 in 78 and no movie ever made me feel the sense of awe I had then. No movie ever will. Man of Steel sure came close though.
  20. Never been a Whedon fan and the only thing he’s done that I’ve enjoyed is Firefly.
