  1. Marvels entire line-up brought around 20 billion total to the box office. Tom Cruise (in a leading role) has brought 10 billion. Not bad for the little guy. So there’s a few people that have flocked to see him.
  2. I think we will be better off but the COVID19 vaccines will most likely operate like the flu shot. Even after vaccination you can still get it. No one can tell us how long the vaccine will remain effective for now. As for Black Widow being the film that saves the movie industry, well sure, if it makes 30 billion dollars worldwide. Not BW, MI-7 or Dune or any other single film will save the industry.
  3. What do you think? Will they make more this way followed by a home release at $20 or $30 a month later? We know not to bet against the mouse. Warren Buffet did and lost 11 billion dollars. I love to hate Disney but I’m still a shareholder.
  4. You already know it. She expressed interest in an interview and said no one called her yet. That was a while ago. I’m sure that call was made soon after. Also, much like the two 80’s leads, she aged very well and would fit right back in.
  5. As much as I love the series so far, this trailer is.. not good. No idea what they want to do in Season 3 other than rehab Diego. I hope there’s a great story with purpose and not the usual “we have to make more because of former success” model. The first season was much better than the second. I hope that trend doesn’t carry over to the third.
  6. Don’t get me started on Triple Frontier, that movie had such promise. I couldn’t wait for it to come out and they dropped the ball. Give me the final cut so I can take away 30 minutes and add 30 and then we got something.
  7. We are on different pages, I’m not even thinking about their fictional stories, just their real world legacy and impact. By that rationale Carol Danvers hasn’t gone through half the sheet that Wile E. Coyote went through.
  8. She’s with ScarJo to me with occasional bouts of greatness. A Beautiful Mind, Requiem for a Dream and even though it was a smaller part, Dark City, a favorite of mine.
  9. Agreed, as much as I love him in other movies (he’s done a couple), I was always a Steranko Fury fan. I always imagined Nick Fury as a 1960’s Robert Conrad.
  10. I’ve said it a few times here over the years but Jennifer Connely twenty years ago would have been perfection as WW.
  11. I’m sure you’re joking right? A female superhero created in 1940 or 41 when the Damsel in Distress was all the rage. The amount of misogyny that surrounded the character for decades was staggering. WW paved the road for CM and I’m not even that much of a fan. Soft spot in my heart for Linda Carter though like every teenage boy in the 80’s.
  12. I know, I thought CM was a very weak entry and forgettable. My daughters said it was ok. They have no desire to revisit it but have re-watched both Ant-Man movies. We will all still watch CM2 in hopes it will be more enjoyable. But if you’re a family that loved CM, well that’s a win.
  13. I was planning to screen mirror my phone to the tv and play it through the HBO MAX app. It works fine and I’ve watched a lot of movies like that but I can’t stream in 4K HDR so I think I will purchase this one on iTunes and run it though AppleTV in its highest resolution.
  14. I’m good with waiting to see Dune in IMAX. I thought I could wait for No Time to Die there as well, especially since some of the film was shot with IMAX cameras, but at this point just give it to me! I was all set to see it last February and then it was cancelled. We have a completed film soon to hit one year in limbo. Sell it to Netflix or Apple already. Movie highlight for this month is TENET. Preordered it on iTunes and watching it next week.
  15. I’ll miss the billion dollar movies for now but I would always choose a solid series like Breaking Bad or Ray Donovan over any Marvel and DC production. The Mandalorian has been better than any Star Wars movie since the 80’s for me. I’m looking forward to the next few years of streaming. I still want the theaters to return because some movies just need to be seen in IMAX. Dune will still be awesome on my projector in 4K but compared to looking up at that IMAX screen with the immense sound that has space to travel around? Forget it.
  16. The first two with RDJ were decent and fun but I’d rather have more of these two.
  17. A few of my favorite actors are ones I would prefer never to meet. Can’t stand their offscreen personalities but I’ll watch them in their craft all day.
  18. Sounds like another case of internet trolls making something out of nothing. I could be wrong, but it sure seems like people are getting offended just a bit too easily these days. If you’re that thin skinned, maybe stay offline?
  19. I don’t see any harm in this tweet. Of course we should know what’s in the vaccine. I don’t blindly put things in my body. As for the trans stuff, I couldn’t find anything she posted about that. Or the video she shared. Can anyone elaborate?
