  1. nice 3.5 and nice 5.5 welcome to the club
  2. OK, here's the list of factual information you're looking for. Consider it "recorded somewhere." The 3,275 copy print run is accurate...confirmed and documented by Peter Laird himself. No claims to the contrary by any other person not directly associated with TMNT #1 (i.e., anyone other than Kevin or Peter) should be considered valid. No copies were set aside, designated for special use, or were even signed in a specific way for a specific purpose or promotion (although Kevin and Peter did give away some copies to friends, family, etc.) which likely had personal messages or signatures. Those copies are VERY RARELY ever sold due to their sentimental and/or collectible value. Kevin and Peter never thought they'd sell all of the copies they had printed. They used the boxes that they came in for furniture in their house. And finally, this picture alone is what I would say is proof of the print run being limited as has been well-documented and not artificially understated / low for the purpose of creating rarity. While it's hard to know how many copies are in each box, there are probably between 300-400 copies in each box (just for portability and weight). Get more pictures and info. here. WOW what an incredible picture. .... and I'm thinking.... are the comics taped to the boxes part of the 3275 count?? I'd still take 'em
  3. I don't recognize him either - and I just watched episodes 4-6 within the last 3 days My best guess is the cantina scene in ep. 4 - lots of freaks in that scene.
  4. I find SA Detective comic covers a hit or miss Some are awesome and some are simply terrible, goofy, etc. (252, 287, 288, 299, 303)
  5. I think it's common among greens more so than other colours. Take for instance SC 22 or X-Men 1 as two prime examples. The greens are either dark/rich or light and almost yellowish.
  6. I was a little disappointed with how the writers used Luke Cage in 'Jessica Jones' I wanted to see him play a larger role than he did; I'm looking forward to this
  7. poor guy... this is when you should have listened to the little devil on your shoulder and offered him the $300. He would have been happy, you would have been happy, and who knows, you might have saved his business.
  8. from the outside looking in, that CC AF15 in 8.0 is like seeing a unicorn
  9. Mine was a WD 4 2x signed. As I saw the positive feedback going up I decided to contact ebay before this joker could do this to more of us. dang that's shady she's hoping you ship it out before the funds get returned, at which point suziejenn has her refund and a book in transit. what's wrong with humanity?
  10. very nice - that is a true beast of a statue. two of the three head sculpts look the same if not for the eyebrows. that part of this is the disappointment, but the rest of it makes up for that. I'd keep the head with the white eyes and hair up on display
  11. NM 98 - not a bad cover in terms of layout.. The drawings just suck ST 110 - bad cover Marvel Comics 1 - not my fav, doesn't look to me like a comic book cover (in the classic sense) GL 1 - bad; I've always hated that puppet I nominate FF 48 and BA 12
  12. New BvS Action Figures They look awesome, imo
  13. that is a big difference. campy (uk) does not describe supergirl
  14. 60's Batman is textbook cheese - but classic and with a cult following. Supergirl is a little cheesy - modern day cheesy (nothing will ever be like 60s Batman again) doesn't mean I don't like the show
  15. from Urban Dictionary campy Camp (n.) and Campy (adj.): Being so extreme that it has an amusing and sometimes perversely sophisticated appeal. Over the top and farcical, intentionally exaggerated so as not to be taken seriously. Found primarily in television, theatre and motion pictures, camp endeavors for satire and, for those who fully understand and appreciate the risible nature of its material, it's not surprising when it develops a cult following. a.k.a cheesy
  16. Thanos looked awesome in GOTG (huge too).... Apocalypse looks awful
  17. these are all over the Internet - I liked this one best.
  18. I also really like this show and look forward to watching it every week. I'm also pleased that I convinced the Mrs. to watch with me and she enjoys it too. She likes it because the lead is a down to earth girl vs. how sexuality is usually in the forefront of most female leads. It's campy, that's true. but it's enjoyable to watch This also got the Mrs. hooked on Jessica Jones too - so double score!
  19. nice I hope to be in this club soon
  20. I see A LOT of sketch cover 9.8's - and some of the sketches are very well done and thorough with all manipulating/moving around of the books for however long it takes an artist to draw, wouldn't that damage the book even slightly? at least to the point where a 9.8 was unlikely?
